IAIN AND JOAN SHELDON (allround open show judges)

Iain and Joan united their separate breed and show kennels in 1996 bringing together Iain's Border Collies, Shih-Tzu's and Chinese Crested dogs with Joan's Staffordshire Bull Terriers,  and OOZZOO SHOW DOGS was established.

Joan had already had success in the past with Bulldogs and Miniature Poodles breeding two Champions in the Poodles who went on to be very influential in the breed. She has been a member of Two Bulldog breed club for some 30yrs and is on the judging lists for Bulldogs and Stafford's. She has also attended and passed the K.C. seminars along with some 20 separate breed seminars.

Iain has been involved with animals all his life being raised within the farming community. He was given his first dog in 1945 a Border Collie to help him do his little job's before going to school.At the age of  5yrs he was required to bring in a 90 head dairy heard so very quickly realised the value of a good dog. Spending many hours with the person who gave him his first dog, a local Shepherd, talking about working dogs he learned a great deal about structure, movement, muscling, and many of the important points required for the dog to do the work required of it. In 1950 he bred his first litter from the bitch he had been given and has kept his I.S.D.S. line ever since. In 1970 he was introduced to showing by a friend who was the owner of a top Toy Poodle kennel she persuaded him to handle for her. This led to him getting his first Shih Tzu which was quickly followed by a Bichion, a Yorkie,3 Chinese Crested's, and a Tibetan Terrier, showing them all up to Champ show level.In 1980 he had his first B.I.S. at an all breed open show with his own bred I.S.D.S.Working Border Collie. He now judges as an allrounder in all non-sporting breeds, and is on the "B" listing for Border Collies. He is also on judging lists for Chinese Cresteds,Staffords and Shih Tzu. Attended seminars for over 40 different breeds plus K.C.seminar requirements and some on genetic & animal health,has stewarded regularly since 1971 upto champ show level and holds a K.C.stewarding certificate.He also has had many years committee exsperience chairing one club for seven years.

Since uniting their kennels Iain and Joan have qualified their young stock  and been in the honours every year.In 2002 they added Samoyeds to their kennels and then in 2005 a Japanese Spitz which qualified at its first show.

I acquired my first dog a working Border Collie in 1945 breeding my first litter in 1950 a line I have continued to this day. In 1964 I got my first Terrier a Smooth Fox Terrier which I lost in 1973. By 1971 I had become involved in Toy Poodles at the well known Winnicote Kennels handling many of the younger stock to J.W. By 1975 along with my Border Collie line, of which I had had my first B.I.S. 1980, I had started to build a Shih Tzu line under the TZUCHIEN Affix. Quickly following this came a Tibetan Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier, Bichion Frise, and three Chinese Crested's. In 1993 I met my present partner who was also in dogs having bred two Poodle champions and her Staffords. We decided that a new Affix would be in order so we registered under the Affix OOZZOO. Our first litter under the new affix was Staffords. This litter produced four pups three of which have gone on to many wins and awards at the highest levels. The dog gained his J.W. in 1998 at the age of 15mths and qualified for Crufts at his first Champ show and a B.P.I.S., he also won the N.W.S.B.T.C. J.W. SHIELD for most J.W. points in 97/98 (400+) and the EMBREY SALVER for most points in Open and Championship shows 97/98. At Crufts 2000 our Chinese Crested dog gained honours in the open class. In the year 2001,once again our Chinese Crested carried the honours for us at Crufts a hairless dog pup. For CRUFTS 2002 it was the turn of our Staffords once again, two brothers born March 2000 won the privilege of going to Crufts getting well placed in a good quality classes. Recently we have added a Parson Russell to our show team. By 1998 we realised our existing Kennels would not be sufficient for our rising stock so we began the search for a knew home. We found the above property which is dog friendly and no humans to be disturbed by their occasional midnight sing-a-long parties and an ideal place for training Border Collies. I also take a great interest in and attend a number of I.S.D.S. trials & meetings every year. At present we are successfully showing five breeds under our new affix OOZZOO, Staffords, Chinese Crested?s, Japanese Spitz, Parson Russell, Border Collies (mainly at agriculture shows), and at all levels of the show world.

I have been involved with dogs since 1970 my first being a Golden Labrador which was quickly followed by a Miniature Poodle bitch. After a great amount of research I found a suitable stud in a top dog of the time. Out of this litter I kept a bitch who then went on to produce me two Champions one being CH ROYAL MAGICIAN of the Minarets kennels who then went on to produce Champion stock of his own, my affix at this time was GARINA. When my Labrador died I then acquired a Bulldog who produced, self whelped, and reared nine puppies with her first litter.I kept a bitch from this litter who went on to produce a litter of five. after this business commitments meant that I was unable to give the time needed for breeding but my four bitches lived on with me to a ripe old age. It was when my dogs where getting old that I was persuaded to take on a rescue Stafford bitch. Just after this I was widowed but, after three years,I met my present partner who was also in dogs.He came with his Border Collies, Shih Tzu's and Chinese Crested's. We decided that a new Affix would be in order so we registered under the Affix OOZZOO. The Stafford bitch was of good quality out of good lines and it was decided to mate her. From this mating was produced four pups three of which have gone on to many wins and awards at the highest levels.The dog gained his J.W. in 1998 at the age of 15mths a B.P.I.S.at 8mth and qualified for Crufts at his first Champ show, he also won the N.W.S.B.T.C. J.W. SHEILD for most J.W. points (400+)in 97/98 and the EMBREY SALVER for most points by any dog in Open and Championship shows 97/98. At Crufts 2000 our Chinese Crested dog gained honours in the open class. For the year 2001 we had four very promising puppies two Stafford�s and two Crested�s one Hairless who qualified for Crufts 2001,at his first attempt at just six months.For Crufts 2002 we had two Stafford youngsters qualified one gaining a third spot in a very strong class.

At present we are showing five breeds under our affix OOZZOO, Border Collies, Japanese Spitz, Parson Russell, Staffords and Chinese Cresteds at all levels of the Show World.To date we have dogs qualified in four of our five breeds for Crufts 2010 from veteran through to puppy

I have always bred quality stock, have attended many learning seminars,and now consider I have the confidence and knowledge to go further.
