1. Anyone harassing, disrespecting or cussing at (regardless of spelling) staff or members will result in 1 to 90 days in the box. Members causing disruptions in tourneys or the lobby that prevent staff from carrying out their responsibilities will also result in boxing time up to a maximum of 90 days. Booting members or staff from league or tourney tables is an automatic 1 day boxing. Continuous harassment can result in removal and banning from the league. If a member swears in the lobby, tourney tables or league tables they will be asked to stop, if they continue to swear they can receive 1 to 90 days depending on the severity. We are all adults therefore we ask that you all be considerate of your fellow staff and members. Not all of our members find swearing appropriate. If you swear excessively (over 3 cuss words) before it is caught to warn you it can and will be boxable 1- 90 days so please refrain from swearing. League names are not to contain correct spelling of profanity or sexually explicit content. If your league name is found to be in violation of Case's rules, you will be asked to change to a more appropriate name.

2. We expect our members to refrain from using explicit sexual talk in the lobby and at league tables. If there is a complaint, we'll ask you to please be more careful. We understand we're adults but what some may find crossing the line, you may not. So just please be cautious about this kind of chat and courteous to others about this.

3. No fighting or disruptive behaviour in the lobby will be tolerated. This ruins everyone's fun. If you have a problem with someone, take it private. If you cannot solve the problem, then bring it to the admin's attention and we will help you to try and solve it. Any fighting in the lobby will result in 1 to 90 days in the penalty box, depending on the severity of the situation. If a member is found to be contributing to a lobby disturbance made by a league member or non league member they will be issued 1 warning and if they continue they will be boxed mandatory 3 days if they continue after boxing more days will be added. Please put non league members who are in lobby to cause problems on ignore. Anyone found to be changing names in order to come to the lobby and cause a disturbance will be boxed the same as if in league name. It is the person, not the id that is a member. If a member withdraws to violate a league rule(s) and rejoins the league, they will be boxed for the amount of days for the violations. If a member withdraws to avoid boxing and rejoins the league they will be boxed for the days that they should have been boxed for as well as have added days for withdrawing to avoid boxing, No exceptions.

4. Signing up multiple names in CLOWNS is NOT allowed. If you have 2 or more names in league please remove all but 1 of the names in league. If you are found having multiple accounts without letting an admin know the situations you will be given a warning, and all but 1 name will be removed from league according to which name you had in league 1st. If you continue signing up multiple names in league, all your multiple names will be removed from league and your original name will be boxed for 14 days. Signing up names while in the box will result in the duplicate ID's being kicked immediately and the original ID boxed for an additional 3 days (per name found in league).

5. No forfeiting games in league or tourneys. FF'ing on yourself in a league game or tourney game will get you 3 days in the box. You will get a warning for the first offence, after that it will result in a boxing. FF'ing on your opponent will get you 7 days in the box automatically with no warning given.

6. You should only play the games that are listed in our list of games on the league main page. All league games are to be played at Rated tables . Quickies are not acceptable for league games. As this is a Ladder league, ALL League games should be reported as soon as possible. You may NOT start another new league game until you have reported the last one. If you need help as to how to report a match please ask any member of the canasta Clowns Staff. If a player fails to report a league match within the 24 hour period they will be warned for their 1st offence, 2nd offence you will be dropped on the ladder and then if it happens again the player will be boxed for 3 days. Please do NOT submit an unreported match until 24 hours after the game was finished

7.In a tourney you are allowed 3 boots from yahoo (on the 4th boot you will be dq'ed) or 10 minutes (5 minutes for quickies and doubles games in progress) of missing time whichever comes 1st. After that allocated time, the TD will find a sub to finish the game (doubles, tag team,only) and quickie tourneys are 5 minutes MIA. MIA's are not to be used as an excuse for holding up tourney play. The 3 brb's allowed per game will be timed and go against the 10 min MIA timer. (Rule Change)Deliberate slow playing in tourney games will Not be tolerated. Players will receive 2 slow play warnings and be dq'd on the third slow play warning. Staff will first check and make sure the member is ok and ask them to speed up , if the member doesn't speed up staff will check their playing time if they are taking over 45 seconds per turn they will issue a slow play warning if the member continues to play slow the td will issue another slow play warning and after the 2nd slow play warning if the player continues to play slow they will be dq'd from the game. Please note bad ping is not considered slow play. In a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 etc...after five minutes one of the other memebers of the team must start playing the other game that their partner is mia from. No subs allowed for 2x2s, 3x3s etc.

8. In doubles NO TABLE TALKING (anything about cards or game hands) during league or tourney doubles games. Asking 'out p?' is ok, but please limit answers to either yes or no. Anything that could affect how the hand is played is considered table talking. If the TD feels that someone has table talked they will issue a warning if the player continues to table talk then the team will be disqualified.

9. In doubles tourney's, the timer to get a sub is 5 minutes, if game has already started (10 minute timer if game has not started). If a player does not return after 5 minutes then TD is to go to lobby and get a sub. If the player returns before the game is over, the sub will finish the hand that is being played and let original player have their seat back. If the sub starts the game and the original player returns, the original player resumes play in the next round if their team advances.

10. If you suspect a player or team has cheated in a game against you, PLEASE notify an admin about this and DON'T take it public either at the table or to the lobby. If you are caught accusing a person or team you will be placed in the box for 1 day the 1st time, 10 days the 2nd time, and 30 days the 3rd time. You are NOT to contact your partner about your cards or the game in any way during a doubles game (tourney or league). Anyone found to be IM'ing their partner about their cards during a game will be dq'd and boxed and a sub gotten. If your partner responds to the im; the entire team will be dq'd and both parties boxed. Boxing will result in 1-90 days depending on the content of the IM.

11. Please wait for the td to get to the table before starting your game. Winners do not leave the table until the td has said gg. They must be able to see the score and verify the win. Repeated occurrences of leaving table before td says gg will be considered a rule violation and could be punished by boxing.

12. Players are only allowed to play in 2 League Games/Tourneys at one time. When a member is found to be in MORE then 2 games/or tournaments whether they are league or tourney or in another lobby they will be dq'd from a game that least effects other members( preferably a singles) if all games are doubles a sub will be gotten for one of the doubles games and the stats will be adjusted. As well the Member will be emailed an official warning on this issue and if it happens again they will be boxed for 1 day . The reason for the harshness pertaining to this issue is that this causes a lot of delays in tourneys due to slow play and added work to the staff and conflict between the members. We hate to have to DQ anyone from a game because they are in more then 2 so PLEASE be cautious of this when joining tourneys or league games. If you join a MUSICAL CHAIRS tourney please do not play in any other tourney /game. This is because with having to sit and stand constantly it will cause a delay and confusions in play.

13. In Doubles you can p in two Tourneys at the same time/same partner. But you cannot be in a Doubles tourney with a partner and be on another table with that same partner either playing a non league game, league singles ,doubles or just at a table period. As well if a member is playing in Clowns and is found playing with same partner in another lobby in a non league game or league game (not tourney) then they will be Disqualified from the tourney or League game here in Clowns , required to report the loss and lose bux if there are any. If this occurs often with the same member boxing is possible.

14. In all league games, you need to invite a staff member (Admin, HTD, TD) for any MIA you may have. The staff member will run a 10 minute timer at the table for the player to get back. In league games, any sub that plays (doubles only) at least half of the match is to receive the win instead of the MIA player when you report your match. Subs are NOT required to report losses. In a singles tourney, if a player goes MIA with 1 card remaining to be drawn, TD will run a 5 minute timer. If after 5 minutes the player has NOT returned, the hosting TD will sit and draw the last card to finish the game.

15. In a tourney players have 3 min to make table for singles and 5 min for doubles after pairings are posted in lobby. If their opponent is asked to make table due to pairings time being expired then that player will then have the right to 1st seat choice. The exception to this would be if a hosting td is the inviter and cannot make due to having too many tables open. In this instance you will be asked to make and invite but not sit.

16. Any members ranked between 1 and 20 that break a league rule causing them to be boxed for 3 or more days will automatically get runged 5 rungs on the ladder for every 3 days they are boxed at the time of boxing.

17. All DQ's in a tourney will be reported by staff and documented by Admin. Any member found to be DQ'ing excessively when losing will be issued a warning. If the member continues to dq when losing, they will be boxed for 3 days for the first offence. Multiple offences will result in extended boxing time. DQ's in league games require staff to be called to the table to take note of the dq and make sure that the team that has DQ'ed reports their loss.

18. Please use the complaint box for any complaints that you may have. Do not send IM's with a complaint unless it is an urgent situation. The admin are only human and we might forget your complaint other wise. The complaint link can be found in the left column on the league page. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint and will get back to you A.S.A.P in regards to that complaint. We also welcome your comments and suggestions.

19. Game mia's: 10 MINUTES IN SINGLES 5 MINUTES IN QUICKIE GAMES 10 MINUTES IN DOUBLES BEFORE A SUB IS FOUND, (IF GAME HASN'T STARTED YET) PLAYER WILL RESUME SEAT AT THE BEGINNING OF NEXT ROUND. 5 MINUTES IN DOUBLES IF MIA AFTER GAME HAS STARTED AND PLAYER WILL RESUME SEAT AT THE BEGINNING OF NEXT HAND

22. We require good sportsmanship at all times ex: saying gg at the end of a game. Saying gh and so on is nice and showing good sportsmanship but not required we do ask that you say gg at least!
