There are Gods everywhere. There are sun gods, war gods, sex gods, even blue eight armed elephant woman gods. It is easy to laugh at a blue eight armed elephant woman god. It is easy for Christians to see the humor in this. It is easy to laugh at a religion that insists on killing themselves after they achieve enlightenment. It is easy to see how idiotic old Mythology was. What it is not easy to do, is to look at your own idiotic religion and realize that it is just as foolish. Whatever religion you believe, I can gaurantee it is full of magic, and non-science. It might have whales swallowing people. It might have talking bushes. It might have magical dust. Whatever it has is foolish. So before you laugh at the comical blue eight armed half elephant half woman god, laugh at your own religion. And remember, the comedy you see in other peoples religions, is the comedy I see in yours. Now, if you will excuse me, I have to worship my refrigerator. |
