Affirmative Action
Affirmative action is defined by Websters Dictionary as "the active effort to improve the employment or educational opportunities of members of minority groups or women."

One of the best ways to understand something is to view it diametrically. Affirmative action could also be described as the active effort to hinder the employment and educational opportunities of white males.

Consider this analogy. A black African millionaire from South Africa comes to America to attend college. At the same time, a poor Romanian immigrant sells his entire fortune to come to America, with only 5 dollars in his pocket. They apply at the same college, and the black gets in, the white does not. They scored the same.
This is the problem with affirmative action. It discounts every aspect of the individual and focuses entirely on race.

Another problem with affirmative action is that in an attempt to combat racism, it perpetuates racism by insinuating that black students can not attend a university on their own merit. Affirmative action asserts that black students need extra points on their test because they are uncapable  of scoring well on their own. If the government told me that because of my paticular ethnic origin, that I required extra points to compete with other ethnic origins I would be furious and refuse any aid!  For to accept such a thing would be an admittance of my own inferiority.

On top of this Affirmative Action creates feelings of resentment towards blacks by whites who were not given a fair fight.  Resentment towards affirmative action is why I wrote this. Resentment between races will continue as long as governments and people choose sides. It will only end when people are allowed to compete on equal ground. Bottom line, affirmative action is racist, and racism is not a way to justify racism.
