| Republicans want you to be free fiscally, and they want to control you morally. Democrats want you to be free morally, and they want to control you fiscally. Communists want to control you fiscally, and they want to control you morally. Libertarians want to control themselves. |

| To be a libertarian you need only abide by one rule, live and let live. Although one may personally object to such activities as prostitution, gay marriage, drug use, polygamy, gambling, or any other victimless mallum prohibitum crime, we must realize that we have no right to speak on the behalf of other indivuals or the people involved in any consentual agreement. We have no more right to speak on their behalf, then they have a right to speak on our behalf. To force others to believe in your own beliefs is to acknowledge that you are superior and morally correct. Assuming you are morally correct is delusional and circulative, as morals can not be measured and nobody knows what is right or wrong, or if there is such thing as right or wrong. Prohibiting others from partaking in an action because you deem it immoral is rape of the mind. | ||||||||||||||||

| Ayn Rand (left) coined the term "objectivism" to describe her philosophy. Objectivism she described was "the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness at the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason his only absolute." She imagined a society where the individual was the hero, and not the state. She imagined individuals pursuing their own happiness, as opposed to dictating to others, or being dictated to by others. Objectivist philosophy has become the basis of libertarian ideology. Simply stated, you do whatever you want as long as it does not affect me, and I will do whatever I want as long as it does not affect you. If you agree with this statement, you are a libertarian. | ||||||||||||||||
