WORLD GONE AMUCK, YUCK!! This CD by Jada Cruz, refers to what seemed like Jada's world falling apart when Jada began recording this CD. She began by producing, directing, writing and starring in her own music video. But, moments before filming began, the volunteer assistant director, who professed experience, recommended using red lighting to film. The result was a video that looked as if it were filmed at night or in poor light. Jada continued to write songs for the album. Some years later, she paid Juan Mena $4,000 as a down payment to arrange music for nine songs. The arranger took her money and 13 months later after countless stories and procrastinations had completed three songs. Jada took him to court for her money or her songs and she lost. She appealed and lost-- getting neither her money or her songs (although the judge encouraged Juan Mena to give the songs to her -- he hasn't) All she got out of it was a two-year struggle and delay. |

Starting again, Jada hired a new arranger --one who turned out to be a near-genius--who could do everything it took to complete a CD. But while recording the CD, Jada found out that her family had been against her efforts to record a CD saying it was a waste of her money and that she was not well to pursue that goal. When Jada learned the extent to which the family was against her efforts with the CD, she lost her singing voice for months. The CD was completed. However when it was time to launch a website using the word "Oooglum," which Jada invented, Jada found the website name was taken. Jada has the name "Oooglum Entertainment" trademarked. Lastly, when it came time to type and create the information for the website, Jada's right shoulder became dislocated. To complicate things, doctors found an extra bone in her shoulder that was the problem. Jada's CD survived her tribulations and she continues to write songs, children's stories, short stories, screenplays, and comic book stories. |
