Drain Water

Drain Water

Screaming
She cringes in the bathtub
then arms and legs wide open
she throws back her head
and laughs
at the water filling the floor
at the rain coming in the window
the whole world is drowning
she thinks
and opens the faucet
and drinks
bare skin
hot with tears
cold and shivering
dripping hair
in loose strands hanging
She shrieks
She laughs
She sobs
She shakes
She dies
