a little too heavy

 a little too heavy

tears dripping raindrops
so wet that its heavy
can't pick it up
i wish i was ready

i really can't handle
changes in weather
kinda makes me sick
i'm light as a feather

all this change is worth nothing
but i'll put it in my pocket
too bad thoughts are worth more than pennies
i wish i could buy yours and love it

lighter than air
heavy like thunder
once again they say
she dragged her under
she's a little too heavy

you say i'm lying
i say i'm standing still
and everything rushing by
that won't ever fulfill

and i'm just watching
like a sponge just taking it in
but i'm so full i'm leaking
this line is too thin

being on the verge
is like standing on the edge
often but not familiar
it's always a different ledge

lighter than hope
heavy like fear
once again she said
fucking take me i'm here
but i'm a little too heavy
