History of E-Business
E-Commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services over the internet. E-Commmerce refers to only online transactions. E-Commerce did not start over night, it was made possible through years of technology advancement. One of the first steps that allowed E-commerce to happen was the creation of Electronic Data Interchane (EDI). EDI is a set of standards developed in the 1960's to exchange business information and do electric transactions. In 1992 Compuserve offered online retail products to their customers, and this was significant because it gave people the first opportunity to buy things off of their computers  The next major step was when Mosaic Web browser was made available. The Mosaic Web browser was adapted into a downloadable version called Netscape. Netscape made it easier to access to electronic commerce. Soon after what really set E-Commerce over the top was the development of DSL, this allowed quicker access and persistent connection to the internet.
E-Commerce is good for the future and will continue to grow. From the history of E-Commerce we have come a long way from what it started as. the internet was used at first for military purposes but as evolved to service the households all around the world.
