Lyndon Altarejos
O: how did you come about joining kameradare?

L:  it was my brother-in-law who heard of kameradare registration at QC Sports Plaza.  we agreed to meet there and join the club but for some reason, he did not show up.

O: what do you think will be the outcome of the current re-organization of the club?  will it be a success?  if so, how &/or why?

L: i see the organization is evolving from the original goal of friendship through photography to a new vision of promoting visual (whatever) with quality world-class photos.  this may take some time but with the passion and enthusiasm of the key members plus the talents and skills of most.  i'm sure it will succeed.

O: the "old school" in photography will gradually become obsolete in regards to keeping pace with the new technology ie digital imaging.  do you prefer manual photography vs the current technology?

L: comparing my nikon slr and my olympus digicam, i find the shutter time lag of olympus quite frustrating on fast subjects.  on the good side, it gives me full control with digital manipulation up to the final output.

O: you mentioned to me that you'll be travelling to the US soon.  will you be doing lots of photo documentaries during your trip?  what places have you listed in your itinerary?

L: i'll shoot when there's an opportunity and at a leisurely pace.  my itinerary is not final yet.  shenandoah valley can be quite spectacular during autumn.  then there's the grand canyon and maybe yosemite national park.  i don't know if niagara falls on NY side looks good.

O: i have to ask you this question.  is there any truth to the rumors between you and rosario?

L: i think rosario answered that already.  but to keep you wondering as in showbiz..."no comment" next question please.

O: and lastly, can you give us 1 photo tip?

L: simplicity is beauty.  a simple yet well-composed photo can be very effective to trigger an emotional reaction.  avoid cluttered background.  use background selectively if it enhances and draws the eyes directly to the main subject.
