This is the pups on the first day.
I think Rainah was the one sitting up in the back of the first picture.

Back in January a woman came into the shelter to turn over 4 puppies. When I
went out to get them I was stunned to see they were all scabby and missing
hair. They obviously had really bad mange. We later found out that the 3
black puppies also had inverted eyelids and would require surgery. So they
were looked over and I was told they were going to be euthanized right away
incase it was the contagious kind. I just couldnt let a bunch of 7? week
old puppies die so I said I was taking them home.
The woman who brought them in didn't notice anything was wrong and thought
they were normal healthy puppies. She had been renting a house to some
people and they just moved out with the mother dog (Rottweiler)and left the
puppies to die.

The pups after growing back most of their hair - still a little scruffy.
This was about the time the vet said they could go up for adoption in
another week. I was supposed to have had them 3 weeks tops...it ended up
being a few months. I must say I loved every minute! I really think this
group was more fun than work.
