Chapter 5 - The First Time I Saw Her
Next stop: Mr. Smith's house in Stouville to get the Landy.  I can't describe the moment when I saw my LR for the first time.  Simply put: just what I was looking for.  The wait and the patience paid off!!  I knew that it wasnt running, but it was 100% complete and she came with thousands of dollars worth of new parts and accessories that the previous owner didnt install, plus the original owners manual and documents.  Since it was sitting there for quite some time we had to push it, drag it and pull it until we managed to put it on the trailer.  After signing some papers and taken some pictures, it was time to say goodbye and initiate the trip back to Florida.  My visit to our Canadian neighbors was brief.  I only spent about 7 hours in Ontario.

Chapter 6 - The Trip Back To Florida + Wife Reaction
My goal was to cross the border that night (Friday).  This time I drove to Buffalo, went thru US Customs without a problem.  I had previously hired a company to prepare the required documents.  The best 50 bucks that I spent...it was a piece of cake.  I spent the night somewhere between Buffalo and Rochester.  What a relief...I was in US soil and felt more comfortable.  I was tired but a happy camper.  My next leg of this trip was traveling all Saturday from upstate NY to the Carolinas and the last leg - Sunday - was from the Carolinas to Central Florida.

All this was completed in 4 and a half days and since I was by myself, I did all the driving.  I arrived around 5:30 PM.  What did my wife say about the Landy when she saw her?  It actually came in a form of a question: Did you drive all the way to Canada to get THAT?  You got it love it!...
                               Chapter 7 - Epilogue
While driving home, every time that I was feeling a little bit tired all I had to do was look at my rear view mirror and there she was. I would get an instant energy booster shot.  Exciting?  Heck yeah!!  Would I do it again?  I don't think so, unless it is a killer deal and the vehicle is a Camel Trophy Defender 110 RHD 300TdI...    :-)

One last note:  In 2002 I bought a Range Rover Classic.  Seems that my condition of landroveritis got worst after I got home.  It went from acute to the incurable type.  ...but you know what?  I LOVE EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF IT!!
