Party

“ Abigail, Abigail, wait up,” yelled my best friend Cassarina. She was racing to me. It was the first day of summer in Ohio, and I was really excited. When Cassarina finally caught up to me she was huffing and puffing. I wanted to ask what was going on but I had to let her catch her breath.

“Cassarina, what’s going on?” She told me that we just got invited to the best party of the summer. Alexis, the best party thrower in the school, was throwing one of the best parties this weekend. I was appalled. I never thought in a million years that we would be invited to one of those parties.

“Everyone is going to be there,” said Cassarina. In my head, I knew that I had to be there. All of a sudden I remembered that my parents were having a family reunion. I knew my parents would want me to be there with my whole family. So the party was out of the question.

“Cassy, I can’t go. My parents are having a family reunion and I have to be there.” Cassarina said that she already asked her parents and they said she could go. I told her she was really lucky and that I wished I could go with her. As I got home my parents were talking about the reunion. They told me to look forward to it because it was going to be the best reunion ever.

When the weekend of the party came I had a plan. I was going to fake sick and sneak out of the house. When the family got there I told my parents that I didn’t feel so good. ”You need to go upstairs and rest,” they advised. When I got to my room I put pillows under the blankets of my bed. Then I put a wig on the top of the pillows to make it look like I was in the bed sleeping.

Then I put on my best party clothes and climbed out the window. The party started by 7:oo. It was 6:45. I had time to walk to Cassarina’s house and walk with her to the party. “Ding-dong,” went the doorbell as I stood outside in the warm summer night. Cassarina’s father opened the door. ”Hello Abigail, are you walking with Cassy to the party?”

“Yes,” I told him. Cassarina came out of the door looking really great. I told her that she looked really good and she returned the compliment. AS we were walking to the party I told her that I snuck out to go to the party. She was so surprised. She never thought that I would ever do anything like that.

“All I want to focus on is getting to the party and back without getting caught.” When we got to the party we thought it was fabulous. There was great music, tasty food, and cool decorations. There was tons of people there it was so packed. A lot of people were dancing, some were mingling, and others were eating or drinking.

We had a great time at the party. After about 3 hours Cassarina and I were tired out. As we were heading to the punch bowl I saw my whole family. I couldn’t believe my eyes.” Cassy, my entire family is here!” Cassarina looked in astonishment. We didn’t know what to do. We ran and hid behind a huge ice sculpture. As we watched my family they seemed to be having fun. I didn’t know what was going on but all I could think about was getting out of there.

As we were running towards the exit I heard my parents call my name. When I turned around they were approaching. When they got there they wanted an explanation. So, I told them. ”Since we were having a reunion this weekend I knew you guys would want me to be there. So I knew you guys wouldn’t let me go to any party. I really wanted to be here because if you come your considered cool. I’m really sorry. I shouldn’t have come.” I felt really bad. After the party I we took Cassarina home. When we got home my parents went over my punishment.

I was officially grounded for a month. No T.V., phone, or fun for a whole entire month. I was grounded just because of my disobedience. A whole month of my summer was wasted because of me. That’s how I learned A&A. Ask then Action.
