| WE ARE NEW CREATURES � new creations (IN CHRIST) The Old Creation � Adam The New Creation � Jesus (2Cor 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. We were made in His image & likeness - Gen 1:27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. Now we are reconciled (brought back) to God. We have been given Authority & Dominion over everything EXCEPT PEOPLE. They have their own free will. Our old father (the devil) � our �illegitimate step-father� is no longer our father � God the Father is, God the Son, Jesus Christ is our older brother and God the Holy Spirit lives in us. There had to be a new creation for His Will to be carried out. Jesus made us that �new creation�. It had to be a creation that had �authority and dominion�. Eph 1:18-23 � The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and has put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that fills all in all. Notice that Verse 19 says � towards us who believe (who believe). We have authority over (a) principalities and (b) powers Eph 2:1-6 � and you has he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved; and has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Notice that vs. 2 says �the prince of the power of the air� and vs. 3 �.walked according to the course of this world�. Our old man fulfilling the desires of the flesh. Vs. 5 �.even when we were dead in our sin (He re-created us). The moment we became born-again (alive in Him) we were given ALL authority and power. Vs. 6 �AND raised us up together AND MADE TO SIT with HIM. Hosea 4:6 tells us that � My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge�. �My people� (that�s us Christians) When you were born-gain (that was not a religious title given you) � you received HIM as LORD as an ACT OF YOUR FREE WILL. The Holy Spirit hovered over us (just like He did Mary). He didn�t recreate us from the dirt (like He did Adam) � because the ground was �now cursed� � instead He recreated �a new creature� in Spirit - in His Image. The Holy Spirit hovered over my �spirit� and I was re-created just like my real Dad � His Spirit, His Likeness, His Faith, His Hope, His Love, His Life, His Truth (ALL OF THAT IN ME � the moment of my salvation). I now have the authority to think, speak & act (just like HIM). That power was RELEASED in my spirit when I made Jesus Lord of my life. We SIT with Him in �heavenly places�. Even the angels cannot SIT with Him in heavenly places � they only fly about saying �Holy, Holy, Holy�. Only we can SIT with Him. The angels wondered ��what is man that you are mindful of him..�. Psalm 8:4 We are joint-heirs with Him. (nothing we did) HE DID IT. He raised us up together and MADE US SIT in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (in HIM) (vs. 6). No, I�m not being arrogant when I say I sit with Jesus � He made me SIT THERE. This is FAITH in Jesus Christ! Eph 2:6-10 �. and has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of His grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. Notice verse 9. We are HIS workmanship. We did nothing - except to believe in Him � He did it ALL. We are only �righteous� because He made us righteous. Picture Adam telling us this (people of God � we are His �workmanship�.) Adam was His workmanship (until he fell and lost the glory) now we are (because He made us His workmanship the moment we became born-again). NOTHING HAPPENS UNLESS YOU MAKE JESUS �LORD OF YOUR LIFE�. (Rom 10:9-10� That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. The only difference in Adam and me is that we were re-created in the glory that Adam & Eve lost because of sin. It was the �anointing� that gave you LIFE (born-again life). Isaiah 10:27 � and it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. The anointing is the burden removing, yolk destroying power of God. 1 John 2:27 �But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, you shall abide in him We were created �in the anointed one & His anointing�. (Is. 61:1) Who�s the anointed one? (Jesus) Ephesians 6 tells us to �put on the whole armour of God. After Adam fell he had no right to put on the armour of God � but Jesus put on the armour (Isaiah 59:17) for us. Paul (2 Corinthians 12:7 � there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. Paul sought God to remove the �thorn� three times (vs. 8) What did God say? My grace is SUFFICIENT for you (not in-sufficient for you) What is �grace�? It�s the power of the Holy Spirit to OVERCOME. We are overcomers. God is saying to us today � I gave you the grace (I even loaded the gun for you, now shoot the thing), command it to leave with the authority I gave you. We are dressed to kill � we�re in His army. My grace is sufficient for you & you & you & you. Grace for salvation, grace for healing, grace for pain, grace for peace, grace for hope, grace for faith - GRACE. Romans 5:2 �By whom also we have access by faith into this grace Ephesians 1:17-21 ..�that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ �.. give you the spirit of wisdom & revelation in the knowledge of HIM �and the exceeding greatness of HIS power �..far above ALL principalities, power, might AND dominion. (Hosea 4:6��my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge). My people are �Christians�, who don�t know that all the promises of God are theirs. Ephesians 6:12 �For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. There is a �hierarchy� in the demonic realm: 1st - principalities 2nd - powers 3rd - rulers of the darkness of this world (�..in this world) There are 3-levels (in this world): the 1st level (here in our atmosphere) the 2nd level (outer space) the 3rd level (Heaven � where God lives) The highest domain (for evil) is in �our� atmosphere, but God never intended them to be anywhere except �under our feet� Eph 6:13-18 � Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Verse 13�.that YOU do. There are things we have to do. These verses 14-18 tells us how to apply the armour of God. Awesome scripture. That armour is not needed for the 2nd or 3rd levels of heaven but for the 1st level (here on this earth � to put them under our feet) Psalm 8:6 You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; you hast put all things under his feet; Just like God told Adam and Eve in the beginning in Genesis 1:26, 28, we too have �dominion� over the enemy. Romans 16:20 �and the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. We need to get �right in the devil�s face� and tell him: " I have the authority of Jesus Christ� � I am covered in the �blood of Jesus� � I am fully dressed in His authority�. (Luke 9:1 �and He gave them power & authority to cast out all devils and to cure diseases). WE ARE THOSE DISCIPLES. Sickness is of the devil. �as I live says the Lord, every knee shall bow & every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord� (Rom 14:11). It is just as easy to be healed as it is to be saved! (The word �sozo� is the Hebrew translation for salvation, wholeness and deliverance) (see below). It�s all about Him. This is the way walk in it (Isaiah 30:21). Walk in the ways of God In Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28) Authority comes from �relationship� (Hosea 4:6) �My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. 4982 sozo means make whole, heal, be whole, to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction (from injury or peril) to save a suffering one (from perishing), i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health to preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue, to save in the technical biblical sense (salvation). The very name of Jesus (Yeshua) is �Jehovah is Salvation�. As we said earlier, we must have a deep �unshakable� conviction of what we believe about God and His Word. The Word of God is our only blueprint for life. If we are not grounded in the Word of God then our faith can be shaken. Eph 3:17-20 � that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. The Holy Spirit is in us in fullness able to do ALL. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me � Philippians 4:13 1Tim 6:12 tells us to �.Fight the �good� fight of faith�. The just shall live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4) The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17) The just shall live by faith (Galatians 3:11) The just shall live by faith (Hebrews 10:38) Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith fail not: and when you are converted, strengthen your brethren� 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight: 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you� Galatians 3:26 For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth? By faith Enoch By faith Noah By faith Abraham By faith Sarah By Faith Isaac By faith Jacob By faith Joseph By faith Moses By faith the walls of Jericho By faith Rahab �.By faith I �. � You are an HEIR of Almighty God and a joint-heir with Jesus On April 17, 1992 (Good Friday) my phone rang and I was invited to the reading of a will for which I was named �benefactor�. I was now heir to a fortune. This happened the night I gave my life to Jesus. At that moment I was born again into the richest family ever known. I was born into the royal family that owns and operates the universe. I received an inheritance so vast, it will take me all of eternity to fully comprehend it. What was the day you received your inheritance? Some people get excited about tracing their natural family but I get excited about my heritage because I can trace it back to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, King David and Jesus Christ himself. I come from �good stock� (spiritually). No, I am not Jewish naturally but I am spiritually (I am an engrafted Jew),. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life then you are too because the Holy Spirit tells us in Galatians 3 :13,14 & 29 that: �Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. For it is written, cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree: That the blessings of Abraham might come on the gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith� And if you are Christ�s then you are Abraham�s seed, and heirs according to the promise.� As a Christian you are the �seed of Abraham�. Everything that God promised to Abraham also belongs to you. His blessings are your blessings. It has been passed down to you through Jesus Christ. What are some of the blessings of Abraham? In Genesis 12:2-3 God said to Abraham: �I will make of you a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great and you shall be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless you and curse him that curses you; and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed�. To fully grasp what God is saying you must realize that He was not just telling them to have a good day, He was conferring upon them the power to increase and prosper in every area of life. The word �Bless� defined: to cause to prosper, to make happy, to bestow favor upon, to consecrate to holy purposes, to make successful, to make prosperous in temporal concerns pertaining to this life, to guard and preserve. The blessings of God CAUSED Abraham to prosper, it made him rich. He became �very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold (Genesis 13:2). He was so rich he and Lot (his nephew) had to separate because their possessions were too great for them to live together (vs.6). Financial prosperity wasn�t the only benefit either. It also made him an overcomer. He could conquer any enemy that came against him or his family (read Genesis 14 where Lot was taken captive vs. 14-16.) Abraham single-handedly whipped four kings and their armies and recovered everything that had been taken from him. What boldness! He knew he had a covenant with God. Abraham understood that God was God. When God said �Fear not, Abram: I am your shield, and your exceeding great reward� (Genesis 15:1), he took God at His Word. We need to do the same thing. We need to take that promise and put our name on it. It is ours to take. We are the seed of Abraham. Remember Sarah�s dead womb. Imagine getting pregnant at 90 years of age. Well, Sarah did become pregnant because God said: �I will make you exceedingly fruitful and I will make nations of you and I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto you and to your seed after you� (Genesis 17:6-7). God also prospered Abraham�s son Isaac (Genesis 25:11) �After the death of Abraham God blessed his son Isaac�. He prospered just as his father did. Once when there was a famine in Egypt God told Isaac not to go down there (Genesis 26:2,3). Isaac sowed seed in the land and received 100-fold (vs.12). That�s what the blessing of Abraham will do, it will enable you to prosper no matter what�s happening around you. It will cause you to increase in the middle of recessions, depressions and every kind of economic calamity the devil can dream up. If you�re the seed of Abraham you do not have to worry about such things, you�re not dependent on what the federal government or the stock market or what your job can provide, you need not fear earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, El-Nino or terrorism. You are dependent on your covenant with Almighty God. He alone is your provider (Jehovah Jireh). Isaac was the �result of covenant� - Halleluia! Look at the life of Joseph, Abraham�s great-grandson, he started out as a slave in Egypt and ended up saving that nation from the destruction by famine. He became the most powerful man in that nation next to Pharaoh himself and the entire country was blessed because of his covenant with God. You are an heir, not only of the covenant Joseph had, but of a better one with even better promises (Hebrews 8:6) All the natural blessings are yours as well as the spiritual blessings that Jesus won for you when He died on the cross and rose again. Jesus obtained those blessings as an heir of the Abrahamic covenant. Even Jesus invaded the devil�s domain, defeated him and came out with the keys of death because of the Abrahamic covenant. Now the promises of both the Old and the New Covenants are yours, in addition to that, you have been born-again and have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you. God gave you a DOUBLE guarantee of His promise and backed it with an oath (Hebrews 6:13-14, 17-19 (Amplified Bible). The next time the devil tries to tell you �You won�t make it, you�ll never prosper, you�ll never have a good job, your marriage won�t last, you�re going to die, you�re kids blah, blah, blah�, God�s promise should rise up in you and you need to tell the devil �I am an heir of Almighty God and He will bless me and multiply me according to His Word, so get out of my sight devil, you are a defeated foe�. Faith opens the door to your inheritance. Romans 4:13 says that we are the seed of Abraham and the �heir of the world�. Don�t let thoughts of poverty or lack or sickness entertain you again, wake up each day with shouting and singing �I�m blessed�. Curse defined: - to call down evil upon others violently, a call for evil to rest on someone. Proverbs 26:2 says ��so the curse causeless cannot come�. Our blessings too will be stopped when we are NOT in right relationship with God. All of God�s promises are conditional, God always says IF you will do this, then I will do that. It is only the precious Blood of Jesus that cleanses us from sin. God�s promised that repentance brings forgiveness and causes restoration. God is a God of His Word. God tells us that it�s up to us to CHOOSE LIFE. Deuteronomy 30:19 �I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live: Our blessings are not only for prosperity, they are for every area of our lives including health, happiness, peace and joy. 3John 2 �Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers� and Matt. 6:33 �Seek you first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you. Remember that the door to your blessing is FAITH and the Word says in Romans 10:17 �Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God�, and the key to that door is obedience to God�s Word. When reading your bible, read it knowing that all the promises in there are yours too and you will begin to enjoy the riches that are yours by virtue of the new birth. You�ll discover for yourself that you are truly an heir to the limitless resources of the family of God. |
