| AUTHORITY OVER YOUR HOUSE There is the unseen realm where Jesus met satan and disarmed Him. Jesus lived as a man and faced every trial and temptation that we do, and yet lived in Victory. Ephesians 6:10 �be strong in the Lord and the power of His might�. God gives us armor, because we are not immune to satan�s attacks. Some of us want to pick out what pieces please us, and try to live a victorious life half naked. The Word tells You, �put on� the whole armor of God, and use it. It�s time for us to stop complaining, stop walking wounded, stop walking in self-pity. God has given us authority. We�re not fighting flesh and blood, we�re not fighting people, we�re not fighting with our spouse, our boss, our neighbors, etc. �For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.� Our enemy is unseen (spiritual), yet we must take a stand against him. Satan attacks all Christians and his arrows are shot at the church, at our marriage, at our business, at our body, at our finances, at our mind. We must submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from us. (James 4:7) How do we resist the devil? When the doctor gives us a bad report, we need to realize that above fact is truth. What does the Word say? Check out some scriptures � Psalm 107:20, Isaiah 53:4-5; 1Peter 2:24 (all past tense - healed) � believe them. Meditate on them, speak them. Don�t say �why God why� are You allowing all this? Instead, ask yourself, Why am I allowing it? � use the weapons He gave you. God says in Hosea 4:6 �my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge�. Satan only has authority if you open the door. If he slithers in it�s because you let him in. Same as Adam in the Garden of Eden, they were told to keep, guard, protect the garden, but they let him in. Thoughts come from 3 sources: God, the enemy, ourselves. Don�t entertain thoughts the enemy puts in your head. We can abort them by simply not speaking them or acting on them. Often thoughts come from our 5 senses. When we think about something continually, it becomes an imagination, and then a stronghold. A strong hold on our thought life! The enemy is like a chameleon, looking for a way in. Once he gets a hook into us, we�re on our way to destruction. The enemy cannot read our mind, but he can read our countenance. That�s why God tells us to rejoice always. A long face is an invitation for the enemy to attack. When you rejoice, you close the door. The Joy of the Lord is our strength (Neh 8:10). When that flashing thought comes to you, realize that it is the enemy � don�t listen. Don�t listen to false teachings. There are people who will tell you that the day of miracles are over � that�s a lie from the pit of hell. There�s people who will say things like �you know that sickness you have, well my friend had it and she died�. This is where you�ll have to stand (Eph 6:14). Don�t operate by your feelings. God doesn�t operate by our feelings, he operates by our faith. The Words of God are seeds. Some Christians have only complaining seeds, fear seeds, poverty seeds, grumbling seeds, discouragement seeds, sickness seeds. Plant positive seeds. Mark 4 � the sower went out to sow, some fell by the wayside, some died, some withered, but some made it. We need to be in category number 4 and yield fruit. Fruit comes from good ground. What are you sowing? In John 1 we see that the Word and the Lord are one. So whatever God can do, His Word can do. Words are seed, but we must sow them. Some people are looking for a harvest, but they haven�t planted any seed yet! Galatians 6. There are Christians who just pray all the time and do nothing. Ecclesiastes says: �There�s a time to pray, there�s also a time to plant.� Did you ever wonder why your prayers are not answered. That�s a word for someone here today � stop praying and �do� something. Just like Joshua and his men in Ai, there was something hidden in the camp. If there�s something �hidden� in you, get rid of it. Maybe it�s unforgiveness, or fear, or sickness, or some other sin, get rid of that accursed thing (Joshua 6:18). Many Christians are quoting the devil with words like �I�ll never get a good job� or �I�ll never have any money in the bank� or �I�ll never get rid of this sickness�. Schizophrenic Christians � one day quoting the devil, the next day quoting God. That�s double-minded and you know what God says about double-minded people (James 1:8) (they are unstable). Remember when Pastor Timothy had problems, people were leaving him, he was discouraged? Paul didn�t pity him or baby him, he simple told him to �hold fast�. To the sound words he�d heard from him. We need soundness in the Body of Christ today. Paul reminded him that he came from a family of faith and told him not to listen to negative reports about himself. Also remember the two spies out of the 12, who confessed that �God was able�? Paul said �stir up the gift in you�. You stir it up. He also told him to �endure hardness like a good soldier�. There will be trials but you can get thought them. Stop asking God to take you out of them. Endure by Faith. Stay in the battle. Jesus said �Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world� (John 16.33). You know what, I refuse to tell people what the devil is saying to me, A lot of people are quicker to quote the enemy, and he�s a liar, than they are to quote God, Who is Truth! It�s awesome, we too have weapons of mass destruction (to destroy the works of the devil) the same thing Jesus came to do. Don�t let yourself get depressed or down, take authority over your feelings (that�s your house). We have a higher authority that those of the world. We have the authority of Almighty God. Don�t allow the enemy in you house � Bind him. Jesus said in Mark 3:27 �No man can enter into a strong man�s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.� You have to run him out or he�ll create havoc in your house. If you�re bound by unforgiveness, bitterness, fear, oppression, sickness or despair � Bind him, throw him out, then be careful you don�t allow any of it back. For example once you�re free of anger, the devil will try to get back in through anger. Don�t give him that authority to creep back in. Speak to your mountain. Speak to anger, speak to lust, speak to sickness, speak to depression. Slam the door. Walk by Faith. Stop speaking what the devil is saying to you. Kick him out. Matthew 17:20 says ��if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, be removed; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.�. If the devil says oppression � you say joy, if he says sick � you say healed, if he says poor, you say prosperous. The Word says to �hold fast to your confession of faith (Heb. 4:14).� We confess �He�ll never leave me or forsake me� (Heb. 13:5) and stop there, but the Word says in verse 6 ��so that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Boldly say � Boldly say �I will not fear�. Begin to say what God says about you �the seed of the righteous shall be delivered� (shall be!). God says �Greater is He �.�, God says �you are more than a conqueror in Christ (in Him), God says �let the weak say that I am strong�. Stop calling yourself sick. Agree with God. In the midst of your trials angels will minister to you IF you�re speaking the Word. Angels respond to God�s Word. God has placed His Word even above his Name (Psalm 138:2). God cannot lie. His Word is Truth. Matt 18:19 talks about �any two on earth agreeing� Agree with God. Amos 3:3 says �how can two walk together unless they agree�. Agreement is powerful. The Word of God is above our feelings. The Word of God is above our storm. The Word of God says �watch and pray�. If you�re watching and praying you will see the enemy approach. You�ll see sickness, you�ll see problems, you�ll see sin. Don�t give the enemy room. Eph.4:27. When the enemy tries to bring back your past � don�t allow him. It�s past. God has already forgotten about it and so should you. It�s only the devil who wants to try and haunt you with your old sins. They have been placed in a sea of forgetfulness. Don�t let him bring it back. Some people carry demons around with them as pets. Speak to these demons. Get out now! Then, lock the door on them. For example the spirit of fear �God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.� Soundness of mind. No pain of rejection is soundness of mind. �Perfect love casts out all fear.� Jesus called sickness a �spirit of infirmity� (Luke 13:11). Cast it out or it will take over. Replace oppression with Praise. �Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness� (Isaiah 61:3). Pharaoh told Moses he wanted the frogs out of his land �tomorrow.� Why would you want to spend another night with the frogs? �Today is the day of Salvation�. Hebrews 11:1 says �faith is now�. You have the authority of God. The Word tells us to do many things. You put off the old man; you put off the former conduct; you put on the new man; you renew your mind; you put on tender mercies; you forgive one another; you let the peace of God dwell in you; you fight the good fight of faith; you let the Word dwell in you richly. Start saying what God says about you. Meditate on the Word. The enemy is only �like� a roaring lion, (a deceiver). He needs permission to rule you....the word says "he�s seeking whom he may devour�. The enemy knocks and if you let him in you�re responsible for what he does. Jesus also knocks. Rev. 3:20 Jesus is knocking and offering blessings of healing, peace, provision & deliverance. Jesus said to the lame man �do you want to be made whole?� (John 5:6). In the account of Jairus� daughter, Jesus put unbelief, fear, sickness and death out of the house. Don�t you tolerate this stuff either. Familiar spirits know what buttons to push in your house. The word �familiar spirits� is translated �garden variety�. Remember: everything stops at the Blood of Jesus. The Word says 1,000 may fall at your side or 10,000 at your right hand, but it will NOT come near you. Your authority is in Christ. Get in a position to receive. Jesus became a curse for us. Jesus paid the price for us to be free. Our life is not our own. If there is any hidden stuff in you, get rid of it or it will hinder your walk with God. It�s not about ME,ME ME it�s about HIM. We have a mandate from God to be a light (the answer) for others. How can we be a light to others if we are living in darkness ourselves? It�s time to rise up and take our authority as ambassadors of Jesus Christ! |
