Humor Disqualifies
a Wrestling Match

Hello everybody and welcome to "On The Edge 01"'s third official writing. Today I will discuss one of my greatest wrestling matches.

Let me start by saying that I don't agree with violence. In fact, I'm a very peaceful person. It's just that me and some of my friends just enjoy wrestling. And to make sure that no one gets hurt, to totally disallow any punches to the face or the neck. We also disallow low blows or any kind of weapon use. And if any one of us appears to be hurt we stop the match unless the person can carry on.

Anyway, this match was a pretty long and intense one between me and my friend, George. It ended in a tie because humor had hit and disqualified the match. We had a sofa in play so that it could be used as a top rope and something to grab to break up any submission.

The match started off with a grapple which eventually evolved into the two of us exchanging shots at each other. I tried for punches and George nailed me with a series of kicks. Eventually, I managed to knock George off his feet and locked on an Inverted Twist but he reached for the sofa (the rule was to break up any submission if someone reaches for the sofa).

I then tried for an Amputation Lock but George reversed into a rollup, but I kicked out of the pinfall attempt. I then went for a Spinebuster but my opponent reversed the maneuver and I was met with a DDT. He then attempted a Hurricarana off the sofa but I broke loose and locked him in a Texas Gator Trap on top of the sofa but he once again reversed into a rollup which I once again kicked out of. I then gave him a leg drop on the sofa but I was the unfortunate one. The impact of the move was so hard that I backflipped off the sofa and onto the floor.

I rose to my feet only to be met by a dropkick. After making it to my feet again George hit me with a Headscissors. He then kept slamming me onto the floor to wear me down. Eventually I made it to my feet and gave him an Urban Dive (my cool finishing move). I made the cover but he kicked out!

I gave him another Urban Dive but this time he threw his foot on the sofa stopping the 1-2-3 count. He rose to his feet again and hit me with the Scissors Kick and made a cover but I kicked out of the pinfall attempt.

I attacked him with a facebuster. I then set him up on the sofa and decided to finish the match with a top rope Impaler when the unthinkable happened! I passed gas and we both fell to the floor laughing and the match was disqualified.

Anyways, I think that I'm going to give up this hobby or at least do it once a year or something like that. And as I always do, I'll leave you with today's thought, "Isn't laughter the greatest medecine?".
