"Earth, We Have Landed... Bring On The Music"

Back to WRITINGS
This is a test... this is a teeeeeeeeeeest... I have decided to hit my 5th official writing with music. Obviously, you can check out the "Muzik" section to observe my taste in music which is a big mix of rock, new rock, heavy metal, punk and a teensy bit of hip-hop.

I can start off by talking about the greastest band in the world: Limp Bizkit; primarily because their music is a big mix of rock, hip-hop, thrash and punk metal. Their lead singer, Fred Durst, is fully capable of singing any music that goes into those categories or anything close. He's definately one of the coolest guys in the world. He doesn't listen to the crap other people say about him and carries on his life doing whatever he does when he's not on the stage.

Then the band has their guitarist, Wes Borland who has scary-looking contacts but is still, yet, hillarious. He has great talent and definately belongs in the world's greatest rock band (who, by the way, won the award for Greatest Rock Video at the MTV Music Awards for two consecutive years). The music vibrates as bassist Sam Rivers uses his skills to make your car seats rumble. He sounds great in "Re-Arranged". And to add some scratches to the songs, DJ Lethal goes crazy on the turntables and throws in sweet sound effects. And the beats are all thrown in together by drummer John Otto. I honestly think that his talent is very unique and top-of-the-line.

Other bands and artists that I really like are Linkin Park, Staind, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Offspring, DMX, Redman, Blink -182-, Green Day, Life House, Savage Garden, Pink, Mya, Nelly Furtato and Snoop Dogg.

Nowadays, people are thinkiing of ways to make their music wierder and wierder. Techno has become a big hit in that catergory. Fatboy Slim may just be an example. Also, DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit has a few of his own mixes that you could probably download off Morpheus or Audio Galaxy.

I've been in two bands and I've been the drummer for both. These days, I just get together with friends who can sing or play instruments and record the stuff that we come up with. We also try out for skits but I'm not in an actual band. I just use up most of my time to practice.

Anyways, this ends off our session of "Earth, We Have Landed... Bring On The Music". Your thought of the week is "Are there any ways to make music sound wierder?"
