| Before I get started OPW would like to send out condolences out to the family of the Original Sheik who passed away January 18, 2003 and to the family of Curt Hennig who passed away this past Monday February 10, 2003. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Now on to business. I would like to welcome you to the Genesis, the beginning of Ontario Pro Wrestling. Last year we held a show in Dunnville, Ontario that was a big success except for having to deal with their fair board that we did the show for. The only thing that bothered me afterwards was the people that weren't man enough to stand behind their anonymous posts on internet message boards calling us "one hit wonders" and "the place that no one can get booked works". | ||||||||||||||||||
| Lets look at the guys we have wrestling for OPW, or have wrestled for OPW in the past. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Jason Phoenix - Has wrestled in ECW and has wrestled all over North America. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Kwan Chang - Has wrestled all over Ontario and New York and is scheduled to wrestle in Indiana in the near future and in my opinion an untapped talent. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Rik Matrix - Has wrestled in Ontario, Michigan, New York and is currently wrestling for former WWF star Afa The Wild Samoan's World Extreme Wrestling. Look for this guy to show up in a company like NWA TNA at anytime. | ||||||||||||||||||
| C.K. Sexx - Trained by Ron Hutchinson and then with Dory Funk Jr. Has wrestled all over the U.S. and Canada. All of this with only a little over two years in the business. Keep an eye on this guy he has a bright future. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Agent Orange and Warhed - Two young wrestlers with very bright futures. They have only been wrestling a year and have already wrestled all over Ontario and have begun to wrestle in parts of the U.S. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Willy Allen - Probably has been associated with the pro wrestling business longer than most guys in Ontario have been wrestling. His father Jim Allen ran a successful wrestling company in the 80's in Ontario and Willy grew up in the business. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Tyson Dux and El Tornado - Trained with WWE stars Joe E Legend (Just Joe in WWE) Edge and Christian. Both have made a number of appearances in the WWE and from what I have been told will be making another appearance Feb 24 in Toronto and Feb 25 in London with the WWE. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Texas Hell-Razors - Scott Chase and Eric Dawson have been one of the top teams on the Ontario wrestling scene since their inception two years ago. In a team or individually, both of these guys have bright futures ahead of them wherever they go. | ||||||||||||||||||
| I could go on and on talking about the OPW roster but I don't have the time or the space, so if you weren't mentioned don't take it as a slight. To our anonymous deterers on the internet I have just one thing to say -WAIT TELL YOU GET A LOAD OF US | ||||||||||||||||||
| We are returning to Tillsonburg every six to eight weeks, it will be our home away from home. We are also in negotiations to run numerous other shows this year that we will announce after we sign the contracts for the venues, so keep checking our website at www.opwwrestling.cjb.net on a regular basis for upcoming events or to check on your favorite OPW wrestler. | ||||||||||||||||||
