| On the Garden River Salmon --- dryland Salmon season is best in the month of August to October. You will land some large fish. Be prepared to walk in the water, wear appropriate footwear as the rocks at the bottom are sharp. The Garden River has the best salmon fishing in the world and you wll not be disappointed. For you amateurs pink salmon are everywhere and this is a family adventure, you will catch at least 50 a day. Pickerel---boat June to September the pickerel in the Garden and St Mary's River's is excellent. Whether you use downriggers in the St Mary's or troll the Garden River you will get fish. Pike---boat Pike fishing in the Garden River can be very testing at times but at the mouth of the Garden some very large fish are being caught. Get ready for a battle. Little Lake George is also a favourite. Smallmouth ---boat Small mouth bass in the months of July and August bite very well up in the Garden River until you get to the Garden River Bridge. Try different lures and power baits. Must be patient to fish this fish. Steelhead--dryland There are Steelhead in the Garden River all year round and they can be caught in the upper and lower Garden River. Wading in the Garden River in the upper Garden River is awesome especially with the chinook salmon. Avid fishermen please call. |
| On the St Marys River Salmon Salmon fishing with downriggers is what is the usual for this river as it is very deep and also has a strong current. If your looking for an excellent battle, than this is for you. You will be amazed at the power of the chinook and coho. Be prepared for long gaps between fish, but be prepared for the time of your life. Pickerel Pickerel are biting like crazy in the months of June, July and August and are the best tasting fish I have caught. In the straits between squirrel Island and Sugar Island is best. This can be a family and a sport fisherman's dream |
