One Night Stand formed in the summer of 2002, when Rich Hughes and Jamie Cooper, who had played together in previous bands, were asked to put on a show for a street party celebrating the golden jubilee. with Ben Peachey on Bass and Vocals and some kid called Ross on drums, the group learned a 12 song set of covers for the party. After this, Ross packed in his drumsticks and faded into obscurity and was never heard from again. Alex Popham, a good friend was brought in to replace him. Soon after, Ben also left the band after a string of dissapointments.
After a lot of searching Sam Drower came in on Bass Guitar and things started to kick off when they were offered their first big gig at a pub in Bristol. Sam took the mic for the gig but it was eventually decided that a full time singer was needed. at this point Matt Owen came in on vocals and things finally took off.
Playing some high profile Bristol venues such as The Louisiana and The Croft and recording their debut EP with acclaimed producer Matt Sampson who was responsible for recording albums by Redefine, Madnomad and Two Day Rule, things are finally starting to kick off for this young, up and coming band.
