| For those of u all who dont know me well enough, i spend lots of my free time at home watching anime. For those who dont even know wat anime is, it is short for japanese animation. You know , cartoons. Yes, most of u might think its childish and stuff but once u watch it u'll definitely change ur mind. I think i should cut the crap now. Anyways i decided to put up a page for reviews on anime that i have watched. Keep it mind that all this is only my opinion, and different ppl have different taste so if u do not agree with anything , i dont care :) . Enjoy ! |
| DRAGONBALL |
| Synopsis : Once upon a time , there was a boy named Son Goku who lived in the jungle. He met a yound lady named Bulma who tells him about the dragonballs. Collect all 7 of them and any wish will be granted. Goku joins Bulma in the quest of collecting the dragonballs. As the story , Goku meets new friends as well as new rivals. He battles the likes of the Red Ribbon , Pilaf and Pikor , saving the world countless times. Soon , he realises that he isnt human , but a Saiyan from outer space..... Review : Starts off as a comedy action kind of anime with cute characters and such. Later on , in Dragonball Z , it becomes more serious and focuses more on battles. Personally i think this anime is only worth watching because Super Saiyans are so darn cool. The plot isnt too exciting and very repititve. Meet a new enemy , lose , become stronger and morph to a new lvl of Super Saiyan , then defeats the enemy. I think i've seen that one too many times. It is also one of the longest running anime ever thanks to its trademark draaagggiinnngggg technique that makes this anime so annoying. The characters can just stare at each other , taunting and trash talking , for about.....15 minutes? That's half of an episode. This anime is also very old , so dont expect top notch animation. Nonetheless , its still one of the greatest anime ever because it was the first of its kind Length : Uncountably long. Pros : Saiyans are cool , so are their moves ( Kame Hame HA!!! ) Cons : Repetitive , tend to drag too long , too many useless episodes Rating : 7.3/10 |

| AH! MY GODDESS |

| Synopsis : The story starts with Morisato Keiichi , a college student who accidentally calls the Relief Goddess Office while ordering a takeout , and summons Belldandy , a goddess. She offers to grant him any one wish. Thinking it was one of his senior's jokes, he wishes for a girl like her to stay with him forever. The his surprise , it was for real , and Belldandy has to stay wif him forever. He later meets Belldandy elder sister Urd, who always messes things up , and her younger sister Skuld , who is a genius in machines and wants Belldandy to follow her back to Heaven. The four of them live together in a temple.... Review : Personally my all time favourite anime. A nice mix of comedy and romance. The characters are just so fun to watch. Keiichi is a typical loser and Belldandy is the perfect girl that everybody wants to be with ( shes just so sweeettt ) . Urd is sexy and always messes things up with her potions while Skuld is kawaii (cute ) and invents machines that always go wrong. Put them all together and a get an amazing , heart-warming anime that's suitable for anyone to watch. The art is also top notch with Belldandy , in my opinion , is the most beautiful anime girl character i have ever seen to date. The only drawback is that it is too short . Oh and there's a movie and it's great too :) Length : 5 OVAs , 1 movie Pros : One of the best romantic comedy around , very sweet and heart-warming Cons : Too short Rating : 9.5/10 |
| LOVE HINA |

| Synopsos : 15 years ago , Keitaro and his childhood sweetheart make a promise to be accepted at and to meet each other at the prestigious Toudai University before she moved out of his life. Now, Keitaro is your typical loser , having ranked 27th from the last in the national practice exam. When his grandma leaves the all-girl dorm , he becomes the residential mangager and soon meets up with 2 Toudai applicants , Naru and Mutsumi , who might be his childhood sweetheart , since he's forgotten her name. Then there also tenants like the young and kawaii Shinobu , Motoko the swordsmaster , Kaola the genius child inventor and the sneaky Kitsune. Review : Possibly the best romance-comedy anime out there. Has a little bit of ecchi ( perverted jokes but no nudity) in it. The interaction between the characters are just so funny and humerous to watch because they are so different from each other in terms of personality and appearence. Top notch drawing and animation. Not much plot here , but its just damn fun to watch. Love Hina Again is a three episode OVA sequel to Love Hina. Not as good but u'll want to watch it if u are a fan , which u will be , after watching it : ) A MUST SEE !!! ( Just a note , onsen turtle is that small thingy waving its hand on the guys shoulder on the pic , its name is tama-chan ) Length : 25 episodes , 2 specials , 3 OVAs Pros : Good for pleasure watching since it has no plot in it , extremely addictive and fun to watch , excellent character design , great music score Cons : Not much storyline , can't get enough of it ! ( get the manga ) Rating : 9.8/10 |

| Synopsos : In a concealed village , there is a young boy named Uzumaki Naruto , a mischievious boy attending Ninja Acedemy. Everyday , he does nothing but cause mischief. And above it all , it is doubtful that he'll be able to graduate. But Naruto has a dream.... to become the Hokage , head of the Ninja Village and the best ninja around. However , Naruto has a secret about his birth. About 12 yrs ago , A Nine Tailed Fox who tormented the village , was sealed by the 4th hokage within Naruto's body in exchange for his own life. Along with his classmates , Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura together , they make their first step as Ninjas...... Review : Everyone's favourite anime. An excellent blend of comedy and action. This is different than any ninja shit you've seen. Excels in every aspect. Not going to explain much since you're gonna watch it and get addicted anyway no mather wat i say. Watch this once , and u'll be copying their jutsu ( ninja moves) in no time. A MUST WATCH EVEN FOR NON-ANIME FANS! Length : More than 50 and still going Pros : Near perfect , anyone can watch it , damn those jutsus are cool Cons : Skip the flashbacks , too addictive , need to wait one week or a new episode to come out Rating : 9.7/10 |

| Synopsis : In the near future , personal computers take the form of attractive women , called Persocons. Hideki Mutusuwa is a poor student who failed his entrance exam to get into college. So Hideki is forced to move into the city , get a job , and attend cram school in hopes of passing the next college entrance exam. He wants a Persocon for himself , but is way too poor to afford one. One day , while passing a building , he finds a Persocon in a trash heap. However , his new find doesnt seem to be like the others he's heard about. She doesn't seem to have any OS at all , and only says "Chii". As Hideki learns more about his Persocon, he finds out that she is not of any known typr , and most likely some sort of experimental Persocon named "Chobits". Review : Yet another romantic comedy. This one's a little different though. This anime has a very good plot and the art is unbelievable. ( Chobits is by a group of artists named CLAMP known for its art ) Chii is very kawaii and so is Sumomo ( a mini Persocon owned by Hideki's friend ) The humour in this anime is good , mostly featuring Hideki with his porno mags and perverted thoughts hehe. As the story progresses it gets more exciting as you will be curious about the existence of Chii. However , this anime ended disappointingly , leaving many things unexplained. Other than that , this anime is extremely enjoyable and i would recommend not to miss this one. Length : 26 episodes Pros : Very enjoyable , Excellent art , kawaii , interesting plot Cons : Dont expect a satisfying ending Rating : 9/10 |
| SHAMAN KING |

| Synopsis : Shaman King is about a boy with a shaman power , Yoh Asakura , who wanted to become a the Shaman King (duh). Yoh might look like an ordinary layback Junior High School kid. However , he is a shaman with a special ability to communicate with all the souls and spirits and posses them into his body. Yoh came to Fubari , Tokyo to find a suitable ghost to aid him in becoming the best Shaman ever. Review : Starts out real nicely with the introduction of Yoh and his special ability of control souls and spirits. As the story progresses , he meets friends who are also shamans, who are trying to become the Shaman King too . which is fine enough. Unfortunately , the anime suffers from a huge downfall after that. Potentially an action anime , it ended up becoming a childish Pokemon-like cartoon. The characters are still fun to watch though , with Yoh being a unique main character because his laid back personality. Funny at some points too. Watchable , but nothing too great. Length : 64 episodes Pros : Interesting start , good character design Cons : Gets lamer towards the end , not enough action , too many filler episodes Raing : 7.6/10 |

| Synopsis : Fruits Basket is the story of a young high school girl , Honda Tohru. Having lost her mother in a car accident , she has come to live alone in a tent in the forest near her school. Never a quitter , she strives to honor her mother's memory and hard work to do her best she can with her life. One day , she comes across a house in the woods , not far from her tent. The resident of the house is not other then Sohma Yuki, who is the coolest guy at Tohru's skool. Yuki invites her to live in the house and she discovers a dark secret about the Sohma family.....each of them will turn into an animal from the Chinese Zodiac when touched by a person of the opposite sex ! Review : Hmmm another romantic comedy. Actually not really romantic since there's no love between Tohru and Yuki but there's admiration so...umm...Anyways this is another just-for-fun anime which u can watch anytime , anywhere. Not much plot here , just lots of interaction between the different characters. Unfortunately , yet another horrible ending. To avoid disappointment u should probably just skip the last 3 episodes. Highly recommended ! Length : 26 episodes Pros : Stress-free , nice characters Cons : Horrible ending Rating : 9.2/10 |
