1. EINSTEIN'S RIDDLE -

This is solvable!!..I swear (just that its very time consuming)

1. There are 5 houses in 5 different colours. In each house lives a person with a different nationality.

2. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet.

3. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage.

The question is "Who owns the fish?"

Facts:

1. The Brit lives in the red house
2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Dane drinks tea.
4. The green house is on the left of the white house.
5. The green house's owner drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The man living in the center house drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
12. The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The man who smokes Blends has a neighbor who drinks water.

Einstein wrote this riddle this century. He said 98% of the world
could not solve it.

2.You are standing at the bottom of a large lighted staircase which has three switches on the wall next to you.
One switch operates a light fixture at the top of the stairs behind a sealed door.
The other 2 switches next to you are dummy switches and operate nothing.
You can only go upstairs ONCE
If you can only have one light switch in the on position when you go up.
How do you determine which switch operates the light.

NOTES:
-Switches: up is on and down is off (Americans are naughty, aren't they? ;-).
-No light is able to pass through, around or under the door.
-You will have no help from a "friend in the staircase with you"

Two MIT math graduates bump into each other at Fairway on the upper west side. They hadn't seen each other in over 20 years.
The first grad says to the second: "how have you been?"
Second: "Great! I got married and I have three daughters now"
First: "Really? how old are they?"
Second: "Well, the product of their ages is 72, and the sum of their ages is the same as the number on that building over there.."
