THE AFTERMATH | |
The wind and the rain have gone away And the tears from the bushes have ceased; The river banks a little wounded but more forgiving The lightning has stopped; The grounds hold their puddled floors. The wind has dropped now, To a gentle breeze. Out of the clouds the sun does emerge For all to see that beauty Of what an *Aftermath* can leave. |
| CHANGE OF SEASON |
The leaves of the trees sway with the morning breeze, The ground already layered with those of the weaker few: But still they fall With fading beauty, Slower, and even slower, they depart from their last hope of life. Here they land, Now, nothing but memories Let the first tear fall; See the Autumn begin. |

THAT GAP |
The gap between us Is time. This gap will not be joined by force But only by a surrender. You are stubborn!! But then.......so am I, And so neither of us Bridge the gap We are Life And Life is Time Then Time..(that gap) Denied For Ever..... (OR WAS IT):) |

|   | LIFE |
Sometimes our lives are just such a mess We know not where to turn; Tho if we could just stand back a bit Then maybe we could learn. To see life as it really is, Not for what we want it to be That takes a lot more courage If only we could see. To accept all people as they are And not to turn away If we could love all mankind Our problems would then end But it takes a lot of love More than most care to lend Perhaps if we understood ourselves, Maybe then we might find What can change the way of thinking, And bring us peace of mind. |
