The Plan

greetings!
these are the plans that mr sports czar mathieu and i have come up with so far: - we are going to head off wednesday, late afternoon, about 12 midnight minus the time it takes to drive to northwestern maine (~7h). there, we canoe up a lake, and down a river. while at it, we see wildlife (such as wild squirrels) and have a good time. - we are trying to get at least two canoes, a camp stove, and a tent from the outing club. the m and i have two more tents. if you need other gear such as sleeping bag, camp mattress, hair drier... let us know. - we are heading for *moose* river in NW ME where we can do a 2/3 day canoeing loop that was recommended to us for wildlife by people in the know. - scheduled time of return is friday night, if people are all excited about the wilderness, as they -no doubt- will be, saturday night. - weather might be only partly sunny, to say the least. yet, keep in mind, slowly drifting down a river in pouring rain can be romantic. seriously, it looks like chances of showers, otherwise partly sunny and warm. to be able to plan ahead in terms of pabst supplies, we need firm commitments. now! regards, mathieu & thorsten |
