Hook: Mustad 9672, Eagle Claw LO58, etc 3X long shank, #6 - 10.
Thread: Black or olive 6/0 Uni-thread
Body: Medium dark olive chenille
Hackle: Olive hen hackle



Tying Instructions:

1. Remove barb from hook. Mount in vise, coat shank with thread to bend and back.

2. Tie in chenille 3 eye widths back and bind to hook back to bend.

3. Wrap thread forward to chenille tie in. Follow with tight, touching wraps of chenille.

4. Tie off chenille and trim. Tie in hackle by tip.

5. Make no more than 2 wraps of hackle and tie off. Build small thread head.

6. Whip finish twice, or whip finish and cement.


Notes:

Fish with a sinking line, slow sink or intermediate sink. Use where there are dragonflies and damselflies. You can vary the shade of olive chenille used depending on your area.
