Tying Instructions: 1. Secure thread to hook, wrap to middle of hook bend, tie in tail. Wrap thread back to eye. 2. Cover thread wraps with cement. Lay foam strip on hook and secure just behind eye. 3. Wrap thread, under foam, back to bend of hook and secure foam, tag end pointing off of hook end. 4. Make three open thread wraps to middle of hook, pull foam forward, secure. Advance thread to eye and repeat. 5. Make three open wraps of thread to middle of hook, pull foam back, secure. 6. Cut a small clump of deer hair, approximately 1-1 1/2" long and tie in at center of hook. 7. Take a set of two rubber legs and fold them in half. Tie in facing you, with 3-4 wraps to lightly secure. 8. Cut loop in legs, creating two sets of legs, pull uppermost set to far side of fly. 9. Seperate legs, creating four legs per side. 10. Pull thread along underside of body to hook eye, whip finish and cement. |
