Tying Instructions: 1. Flatten barb on hook 2. Attach thread to body, near bend 3. Attach light olive yarn and make a few wraps near the bend of the hook, advance thread 3/5 way up hook 4. Take a piece of foam that is about .75 inches to an inch long and about a quarter inch wide. Attach to hook by wrapping twice with the yarn, leaving a half to a quarter of an inch extending past the bend of the hook 5. Make three wraps on the hook shank with the yarn, advancing it forward, underneath the foam body. 6. Now wrap the yarn around the foam two more times, this time roughly 3/5 of the way up the hook. Tie off yarn, trim any extra foam near the eye of the hook. 7. Attach the legs right in front of the foam. 8. Attach a few strands of brown marabou. Trim the marabou and legs even with each other, so that they extend just beyond the foam body. 9. Tie in a deer hair wing. Leave the butts as a head. Trim the head to the shape you desire. 10. Tie off and cement. |
