Hook: Mustad 94840 #10 Thread: Black Danville 6/0 Underbody: Small black chenille Body: Strip of black closed cell foam Legs: Strands black rubber Head: Small strip of orange closed cell foam |

Tying Instructions: 1. Secure thread to hook, wrap to mid point. 2. Tie in rubber legs, Madame X style, 2 to a side. 3. Advance thread to bend of hook. 4. Tie in strip of black foam, excess pointing off the back of the hook. 5. Tie in chenille, advance thread to 1/8" from hook eye. 6. Wrap chenille forward, tie off. 7. Tie in orange foam, excess foam pointing out over the hook eye. 8. Pull black foam forward, shellback style and secure. Leave tag end of foam right at eye of hook, over the top of the orange foam. 9. Pull orange foam back towards bend of hook, over the top of black tag end of foam. 10. Secure orange foam at tie in point, creating fly head. Whip finish. Trim foam, leaving a 1/8" tag of orange foam extending back towards bend of hook. |
