Once upon a time...
In case you've ever wondered, I'd like to tell you a little story about how Scott and I met. We met online February 16, 2000. I had recently been let go of my job at Auto Trader Magazines and had started a temp job at Allied Pilots Association, which allowed for alot of time for browsing the internet. I had already had an ad placed on Yahoo Personal's, God told me to update it, AND BE SPECIFIC!!! Scott was the first and only person who didn't tell me I was being too picky, asking for perfection. I didn't think too much about it though, 'cause he was two years younger than me.
Upon hearing this, he didn't argue with me, or get his feelings hurt, he simply stated that if it was God's will for us to be together, it'd eventually work out, and he was right. The second time we chatted on line, God told me that he was the man I was going to marry. At the same time, he told him the same thing. We met face-to-face on June 3, 2000. It was funny, though, we were talking about marriage before we even met face-to-face. On Christmas Day in the year 2000, Scott proposed. Now I want to share the joy of our wedding with all who wish to see it.
Our Attendants
Each detail of our wedding was hand picked by God himself. The preacher who was supposed to marry us, resigned as pastor at the church we were married at. Then the new pastor said he was too busy and couldn't do it either. Then the Lord reminded me that Danies Dunn, my own cousin's husband, was ordained to perform wedding ceremonies. He ended up performing our ceremony. This meant so much to us both. So Daniel it was. He was happy to do it for us.
When choosing my attendants, God guided me once again. I didn't listhen to him when he told me to pick Vicki as my Matron-of-Honor. I had already had one person as my matron of honor, but she ended up dropping out. The Lord told me to ask Vicki if she would mind taking on the spot of Matron of Honor. Now I wish I would have asked her from the beginning. She was the best Matron of Honor a Bride-to-be could ask for. She is also the best friend a woman could ask for as well.
