My Parents

This is a story about my parents. They have been married for 33 years. They met and went out on a date and two weeks later they were married in my grandmothers home. My Parents are hard working people and the most caring. They love their children too much I think *L* There are four kids. And I can tell you it was alot of fun around the house. And like any other family we had our good times and bad times. And like any other family we make it though them.
When I was 8 my family hit bad times again. My parents thought that it would be best if they started driving a big truck to make a living for their family. They were more worried about leaving me at such a young age. But my brother by this time had just gotten married to Karen. And they would stay and take care of me (but I mainly stayed with my grandmother) My father had been drving a truck for many years. And he also taught it at the college, so it wasn't a problem teaching my mom. So he did. They started driving and it was hard standing in the front yard watching them driving away and would be gone for a week or two. But I understood and I loved them for what they did. It was great. I had been to almost every state in the US before I was 10 years old. How many kids get to say that? I learned how the world worked and seen what it could do to people. Yes I had to grow up fast but I was still able to be a kid. See, we went when school was on break. It was the most fun. We had so many good times going with our parents all over the US and Canada. But as you get older you didn't want to go as much. You had friends, high school, parties etc....so I stop going as much. Now I regret that. I wished I could have gone with them more, not for the learning but just to be with them. Now I am married I see that. But I am glad that I did stay home and was being a teenager. My parents done a great job of raising us and I am very lucky to have such a wonder mom and dad. I have seen and done more than anyone who is my age now, before I was 10 years old. And it is all because of my parents. How many people can say that they have been almost everywhere before they were teenagers? I have learned more from going with them than anywhere else. I have seen more places and done more things. Its funny when you learn something in school about a place that you have already been too. And knowing that you are the only kid in the class that has been there. Its a wonderful feeling *S*
SO THANK YOU MOM AND DAD FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE GIVEN ME. I LOVE YOU BOTH MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW.
Its been 15 years since the first time they drove off and they are still driving. So just think about it.. Driving down the road and coming up next to a big truck look up and wave. IT MIGHT BE MY MOM AND DAD!!!!
