Vita

Born in Mumbai, India; I have spent most of my life in the city of Ahmedabad in India until I came to United States to pursue graduate studies. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from L.D. College of Engineering at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad in June’2001 and joined Master’s program at GeorgiaTech in Fall’2001.

My primary areas of interests are in Industrial wastewater treatment and Bioremediation. As a part of Master’s thesis research at GeorgiaTech, I worked on a project funded by Agricultural Technology Research Program / GeorgiaTech Research Institute. My research was primarily focused on fate and effects of antioxidant ethoxyquin on the biological treatment systems.

An active member and participant in all the social activities of AEES, I am also involved in organization and participation of events held by India Club (student organization) and other student societies. My hobbies include team sports and music. I am also an amateur numismatist and philatelist.
