Hell spurs are usually the result of repeated stress or injury to the heel tissues. This causes inflammation and calcification of ligaments in the foot.


Signs and Symptoms of Heel Spur
When a heel spur develops, it may not produce any symptoms and be only seen on x-rays. When symptoms do occur, they may include local pain and tenderness in the sole of the foot, and under the heel bone.
