Fantasy IndyCar 2009

League Rules
This is a keeper league, so owners have choice of keeping or dropping drivers for the next season. However, the owner will lose a driver regardless if the driver changes teams in the off season. Each team has a cash bank and starts with six million dollars. Driver salaries change from week to week based on performance. Also, during the off season, a team may use the bankruptcy rule, which states that if an owner drops all of their drivers, they may have their bank reset to six million dollars. This helps teams who may have lost a large sum of money do too driver performance during the year. Each team gains points based off what their drivers get each race. Owners must choose two drivers to start each race, and one driver to remain as a backup. The backup driver's points do not go towards the teams points; only the two starting drivers points will count. Also, each team will have one farm driver from the Infinity Pro Series on their team. Their points will not matter for the team, and the owner does not have to pay them any money, However, if the driver races in the IRL during that year, or gets a team for the next season, The owner will have the choice of signing them to their team. Each off season, the league conducts a draft. Each owner chooses to keep up to three drivers. If the owner keeps three drivers, those drivers count for the owner's three picks in the draft. If the owner keeps two drivers, those drivers count for the owner's first two picks of the draft. If an owner chooses to keep one driver, that driver counts for the owner's first pick in the draft. If the owner chooses to keep no drivers, the owner will get to pick in all three rounds of the draft. Farm drivers do not count for the standard draft and can be kept or dropped. The league will conduct a separate draft for farm drivers after the normal draft is completed. During the season, teams may sign any driver not signed to a team. If an owner wishes to sign a driver, he/she must send the commissioner an email, and the driver will go on the waiver wire for two days. The waiver order will be determined by the league standings. For example, if the top team in the league wants to sign somebody, and it goes on the waiver wire, and the bottom team in the league contacts the commissioner for the same driver before the two day deadline, the bottom team would get the driver. Their also is a trade block, which owners may contact the commissioner to post drivers they wish to trade. Other teams interested in that driver can contact the commissioner or the other owner directly to work out a
