Coach Admits Drubbing

New Zealand manager Jim has admitted his side recieved a "drubbing" at the hands of fierce rivals and Nations Cup champions Australia in their opening match at Bombay a few days ago.

"We had no answer to Jason [Gillespie], he single-handedly tore us apart. That kid is one to watch this tournament..."

Meanwhile, spirits inside the 'Brownshirts' camp haven't been lifted by the news of an injury captain Stephen Fleming. "Flemo took a knock in the nets, a ball from Bond rose up and hit his wrist - doc is looking at it, doesn't seem serious though in the long term..."

Squad vice-captain Scott Styris has been brought in for Fleming, whilst medium-pacer Matthew Walker joins the fray for Tuffey who is getting over the flu.

Meanwhile Kiwi management have insisted they won't be taking Zimbabwe lightly saying "every game counts, Zimbabwe want revenge after the poor showing against the Windies..."
