Providing a set of class notes online is often the first step for teachers who would like to start developing online learning materials. Word files can be easily cut and pasted into a basic web site. Although some people may argue that this is no better than providing a set of hard copies of handouts, there are some benefits.

If several teachers are teaching the same course, the site can be used to share resources and provide consistency of materials among classes. |
