Often media rich sites are designed for advertising or entertainment purposes, but audio and video clips can be effectively used for educational purposes as well. It is important to be aware that media rich sites can take long periods to load and may not function on all of the learners' computer systems. It may be necessary to offer alternative sources of information or activities for those students who are unable to access the sites.
