Hi Everyone!
Sorry I haven't updated the blog for a while. Nora has been busy growing! On 4/9/07 she was 6lbs 1 oz, and yesterday 4/20/07 she was 6lbs 11oz! So she is putting on almost an ounce a day!
I can tell that she is gaining weight and growing so much. The clothes that she used to hardly fit in now look like they are supposed to.
We got her swing on Thursday the 19th. It is one of the few models that actually plugs in as well as accepts batteries. Nora loves the swing. It helps keep her asleep during the day so I can get more things done.
Nora went to Costco with me, and unfortunatly Doug was sick so we had to go alone. She slept through about half the trip and then started getting _really_ mad to we had to hurry and get checked out and go. Let me tell you- pushing a heavy shopping cart and holding a baby is not a natural skill. It takes practice. I appologize to all in Costco who had to make way for my cart as I zig zagged my way to check out! :)
Nora also had to get her second PKU test done on Wednesday 4/11. That is one doctor's visit that I hated! I felt so bad for her when they stabbed her little heal to get the blood sample. And her next one won't be much better because she has to get shots!
She is sleeping through the night- about 7 hours before she really needs to eat and be changed. Nora is taking a bottle from us when we need her to- but we are still keeping her 100% on breastmilk. I try not to offer her the bottle very often, but sometimes when she sleeps too long she doesn't have the patience to nurse.
Sky is being wonderfully protective of the apartment and she is very careful where she walks when Nora is on the floor. So far she is doing great.
I will try to write more later this week!
