Mr Winterbottom decided that it was time to set up a school for children of Naija House. His faithful servants brought their kids to him; "Master, we want our children to be like you, even though their skin colour is richer than yours" He looked at the kids. He saw the potential in them to assist him in running Naija House. "Verily verily I say to you, I will make them sharks of fishes". His servants were pleased and they left their kids for the classes to begin.

There were 2 boys and 2 girls. He showed them a film of Inglis House. Ornamented chairs, carpeted staircases, well-trimmed lawn, diamond-studded windows, yellow-brick pavements, golden fence and shimmering fountain. The Naija kids were thrilled. "We want to go there", they chorused. But Winterbottom did not show them the Pond of Tears at the backyard. In Inglis House it was the rule that unhappiness was not to be exposed to visitors. So anybody feeling sad would go over to the pond and weep away their tears. He promised them that all in the film would be theirs if they could give him their hearts and take the ones he had manufactured for them.

One by one they removed their hearts and accepted their new hearts. Their classes began. First they were taught to forget their history and to remember never to remember. Their past life was a mistake and he was the Messenger of Correctness. In their new life they were born anew to supervise the removal of the gold that was buried in the ground of Naija, to the garage of Inglis House. For each bag of gold that was delivered, they would receive a stamp. When they had accumulated enough stamps, they would be fit to be members of Inglis House. The Big Kids were given power over the diggers. Anybody who complained about the digging was asked to kneel down and raise their hands.

After so much digging their was a big hole in the ground . The diggers were tired and did not have enough energy to read and think properly; they became underdeveloped. Winterbottom deceived the diggers to believe that they were developing diggers. Back in Inglis House, the raw gold was turned into so many devices and sold for money to the diggers of Naija House. But the diggers had been so busy with digging that they abandoned their food gardens. In order to feed, they had to give money to the Big Kids to bring food from Inglis House. As time went on, the Big Kids were giving less food for more money. "The forces of demand and supply are at work", they explained. Winterbottom strolled back to Inglis House. He organized a group of Boys Scouts and called them Peacemakers. In Naija House the diggers were shouting and raising thier shovels. The Big Kids sent a telegram to Ingils House; "Save Our Souls!" Immediately, Winterbottom dispatched the Peacekeepers to whip the diggers. The most stubborn ones were put inside bamboo cages for 2 days.

The Big Kids were grateful to Winterbottom for his kind assistance. One of the Peacemakers who had been testing the ground had discovered more gold in the backyard. The Big Kids decided that the Peacemaker should set up a company to dig it with machines and not Naija Diggers. So the Peacemakers became the United Digging Company and the Big Kids became shareholders. 1
