My Dear Africans,
I want to relate to you my exploits concerning your technical education.
You sometimes wonder why Africa is the most Technologically backward place
in the world. I know you have accepted that you are born to be like that; to
be with only artistic capabilities.
Nigeria, you have so many universities claiming to teach engineering.
But what do you teach in your primary and secondary schools? Can you teach
electronics? Do you teach people how to put things together?
When we colonised you, we separated manual education from intellectual education.
We also devalued technical education so that any endeavour of the practical would be
graded by the civil service as the achievement of a failure.
You Nigerian engineers boast of big sounding qualifications from your
so-called universities. They teach you so many mathematical functions
without showing you the practical implementation. When you graduate, you
have no skills to offer anybody. You become unemployable, but you are
patronized by the administrative state. The civil service rewards you for
your miseducation provided you remain within that structure. Even when
multinationals employ you they have to replicate an internal Nigerian civil service
for you to fit into.
You people are very title conscious; Engineer Abc, Engineer Xyz , with nothing
to show for it other than equations that have never been put into use.
You have asserted that education begins and ends with your worthless degree
certificates, yet your countries have nothing to show for it.
Take my advice; it is not putting on suits and ties that makes you Engineers.
The masses know that there is a great difference between a Nigerian engineer
and the foreign engineer. You cannot fool people forever.
The most advanced telecommunications and computing are from my military.
When you guys come over for training, it is ex-military guys who have never
been to a university that train you. Can your military guys train you?
Your military guys are best at taking over government to loot government
funds. My own military guys equip your guys with the technology to help
me get my share of the booty!
