| Midgar had made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of good. He stormed the fortress of his former friend, for he could not sit by while she could do evil things. He knew it was a suicide mission, because if he killed is target, he would absorb the evil blood line within her. Since he was a vampire at the time; he brought along something that he knew would kill him, a wooden stake carved with the symbol of Andurias. When the final blow was struck, Midgar felt his body changing, so before the darkness could completely claim him, he plunged the stake into his heart while muttering a silent prayer for his fallen friend, for he was never one tho think of himself in a selfish way. Haelyn, the god he worshiped, saw this act and raised the fallen warrior to the status of an angel.
