Note From Choreographer: Now I know there are people out there who cringe when they hear that a dance is an AB style dance. They think that it is too much to remember. Please give this one a try the steps are not that difficult. They are fairly basic but repetitive. Enjoy…but remember you should be dancing because you WANT to and because it’s FUN!  LET’S DANCE!            Todd

 

Section A (48 counts)

1 – 8         Walk, walk, shuffle step, rock step, 1/2 turn left with Left shuffle

1, 2, 3&4     Walk forward  R, L, Shuffle forward  R, L, R

5, 6 ,7&8     Rock forward onto Left foot, recover on Right starting a 1/2 Turn left, continue to turn as you  

                    shuffle L, R, L

 

9 – 16        REPEAT  steps 1 – 8

 

17 – 24      Step, slide, triple-step, cross-rock, side triple-step

1, 2, 3&4    Step Right to right side, slide Left next to Right,  Side Triple R, L, R

5, 6, 7&8    Rock forward on Left crossing over Right foot, Recover onto Right, Side Triple L, R, L

 

25 – 32     Turning Jazz-boxes

1, 2, 3, 4    Cross Right over Left, step back on Left, turn ¼ to right as you step Right to side, Step Left forward

5, 6, 7, 8    Cross Right over Left, step back on Left, turn ¼ to right as you step Right to side, Step Left forward

 

33 – 40     ***Kick-ball-change, sailor step, kick-ball-change-sailor step

1&2, 3&4   Right kick forward, step on ball of Right, step left beside Right. Cross right behind, Left step

                  to side, Right step in place

5&6, 7&8   Left kick forward, step on ball of Left foot, step Right beside Left, Cross Left behind, Right

                   step to side, Left step in place

 

41 – 48    ***Hip bumps and toe struts

1, 2, 3, 4   Step forward on Right while bumping hip forward, bump hip forward again, Step forward on

                Left bumping hip forward, bump hip again

5, 6, 7, 8   Step forward on ball of Right foot, drop heel, step forward on ball of Left foot, drop heel

 

Section B (32 counts)

1 – 8    Vine right 1/2 turn right with scuff, vine left with 3/4  turn left and hitch

1, 2, 3     Right step to side, Left step behind, Right step to side starting a 1/2 turn right

4,          finish 1/2 turn  and scuff Left foot forward

5, 6, 7   Left step to side, Right step behind, Left step to side turning 1/4 to left

8             Finish turn by turning 1/2 to left while raising right knee.

 

9 –16       Step diagonal forward, touch, step diagonal back, touch, step diagonal back, touch, step

                diagonal back, touch

1, 2, 3, 4   Step diagonal forward to right on Right, touch Left beside, Step diagonal back left on Left  touch Right     

                beside

5, 6, 7, 8   Step diagonal back right on Right, touch Left beside, step diagonal back left on Left, touch Right beside

 

17 – 24       Cross, side, sailor-step, cross, side, sailor-step

1, 2, 3&4     Cross Right over Left, step Left to side, angle body slightly to right and step Right behind

                    Step Left to side, step Right in place

5, 6, 7&8     Cross Left over Right, step right to side, angle body slightly to left and step Left behind

                     Step Right to side, step Left in place

 

25 – 32      Cross 1/2 turn right, side triple, cross rock, coaster step

1, 2, 3&4     Cross step Right over Left, turn 1/2 to right and step Left to side, triple step R, L, R

5, 6, 7&8     Rock forward on Left foot, recover, step back on Left, step back on Right, step forward on Left
