Instructional Strategies

Group Work

  1. Pupils are divided into group of four.
  2. Each group is assigned with a situation found on pages 74-75 of PETS Coursebook4B. They are to discuss the given situation and come out with possible solutions.Each group is to present orally their point of views after the 5 minutes of group discussion.

Pair work

  1. In pairs, pupils are to study the situation created using Story Weaver Deluxe by the
  2. teacher. (Refer to Appendix A)

  3. The pupils are to provide choices with reasons and record them down on the worksheet provided. (Refer to Appendix B)
  4. In pairs, pupils are to create a situation of problem with possible solutions.
  5. Pupils then exchange seats with another pair of pupils to study and solve their created problem.

*Follow-up Activity

  1. Pupils to write a story of about 120 words on :
    1. Janet’s Problem
    2. OR

    3. Faridah’s Problem (PETS Coursebook 4B page 88)
