Pupils should be able to:

1. Differentiate among letter sounds
2. Connect sounds to clusters of letters
3. Build clusters of letters into words
4. Use words in context sentences

• Worksheet 1 (Appendix 1)
• Song sheet 1 (Appendix 2)

• Computer Lab with 40 computers

• Teacher to divide the class into eight groups (each group will consist of five students). There will be one group leader in each group. The groups will be given a name. Five students will work on an individual PC.

• The pupils to click on "general store".
• Students will be given worksheets, with the help of pictures. They have to identify the five objects given. Teacher to guide them to search for the objects. Students will form sentences with the cluster of words that has the correct pronunciation and write them on the worksheet provided. After completing the sentences, the teacher will instruct the pupils to click on "wild times" to print out the sentences they have constructed.
