Pre-Activity

1. Discuss with pupils the similarities and the differences between animals and human-beings.
2. Talk about some animal stories-

1. where animals act like some human-beings eg: The film-Babe, The novel Animal Farm etc.
2. where animals are a friend to man eg: -Lassie etc

3. -Demonstrate to pupils how to use the programme. Click I’m New, Type in their name and

-click on Next.

-Click on whale icon and click Next

-Click on Put me here, type in nickname and click on Next

-Get into Imaginopolis, click on enter sign, then on door and on Write something new

- go to Writing studio and follow instructions to create a new document.

-Click on face/sticker icon

-Click a colour and draw an animal

-Click OK when drawing is complete.

-Click A icon, move cursor down by tapping the Enter Key on the keyboard and begin typing the

story

2. Development Activities (1 hr)

Individual Work

Ask pupils to explore the use of the features to draw their animals and then type their individual story.

Ask pupils to read their story and use Spell Check to check their spelling

Tell pupils to read their first draft to a friend and to edit their story after they get feedback

Ask pupils to read their 2^nd draft and go to page layout to arrange the pages.

Ask pupils to print their stories.

3.Conclusion Activities (15 mins)
