Specific Instructional Objectives:

- Pupils to know the meanings of the 25 words in the word list under "Environment".
- Pupils to pronounce the 25 words in the word list correctly.
Thinking Skills:
- Remembering the definitions of the words in the word list.
- Applying knowledge when solving puzzles, mazes, etc..

- Courseware: Ultimate WORD ATTACK
- Teacher prepared worksheets 1 & 2
Instructional Strategies:
- Choose Special 1 – Environment from Word List.
- Click at The Presentation Activity and then at Study. Fill in the correct words to match the definitions given in Worksheet 1. Pronounce the words after the presenter. Press PGDN to go to next word. At the end of the activity, click at Activity and then Stop to end the activity.
- Click at The Presentation Activity and then at Solve. Type in the word required to match the definition. Press Enter.
- Click at Tile Game. To score, pupils must get rid of every tile on the page by matching
the words correctly to the definitions. Press PGUP or PGDN to find a definition that
matches one of the available words.
To select a tile, click at the tile or use the arrow keys to highlight it . Then press ENTER.
8. At the end of the activity, print the certificate.(optional)
- Click at Main Screen. Then choose Slime Game.
- Click at Medium ( or Hard ) to choose the speed. For weaker classes, click at Easy.
- Pupils have to look at the definition at the bottom of the screen. Four words are displayed. Find the word that matches the definition.
- Pupils have to help M.C. (robot) zap the correct word.
- Use the arrow keys to move M.C. directly across from the correct word, and then press
SPACEBAR or to zap the word.
- If goo globs hit M.C., pupils will lose points.
- Click at Main Screen.
- To get out of Ultimate WORD ATTACK , click at FILE and then EXIT.
Follow –Up Activity:
Pupils will complete Worksheet 2 individually. The words in brackets have to be unscrambled and then filled in the blanks.
