Pupils have already been taught an introduction lesson on endangered animals.

Pupils to use the courseware "Animal 2.0" to gather information on endangered animals.

Instructional Strategies:

  1. Pupils to work in groups. Each group is given a worksheet with a list of endangered animals to research among the groups.
  2. Teacher to show the pupils where they can locate the information – to go to the Library section of the software and locate these animals under the endangered animals section.
  3. Pupils to do individual research for about 20 - 25 minutes. They are allowed to print out the pictures and write out which they have found.
  4. Pupils then meet in their groups to share the information which they have gathered individually. Using the vanguard sheet, they paste their pictures and findings to make a chart. They are also to answer the two questions at the end of the worksheet and present it on the chart.
  5. These charts will then be displayed in class at the end of the lesson.
