Teacher to recapitulate meanings of words covered in previous lesson. Teacher to ensure that the class understands the meanings of the words and use them in the story.

In pairs, pupils talk about the given picture of a volcano and then answer the following questions about the picture:

• Why is the boy in red shirt pointing to the volcano?

• What has happened to the volcano in the background?

• How do the people react to the situation?

• What do you think will happen to the volcano later?

• What do you think will be the fate of the people later?

In pairs, pupils create their own story based on the given picture by

writing a few paragraphs about it.
