Instructional Strategies
1 Apply the Classic Jigsaw strategy – pupils form learning home
groups of four. They are then each assigned a number to research / read up on one of the 4 following exploreres :
Yuri Gagarin , James Cook , Amelia Earhart and Genghis Khan.
2 Pupils handling the same explorer (similar number), pair up to
browse / learn the explorer in detail on the CD-ROM
4 After they had collected the relevant data, pupils return to their
learning home group to impart their knowledge and learn from
each other and to complete Worksheet 1
