Learning Environment : Computer Lab.
Instructional Strategies
- Introduction : Show pupils a plant, a flower with stem and leaves, some grass.
- Identify parts of the 3 plants with the pupils.
- Body
: On their own, pupils to click ‘p’ and choose ‘plant’. Read aloud the definition.
- Click on grass. Explain that grass is also plant.
- On the same frame, click ‘leaves’. Read out meaning of leaves.
- On the leaf frame, click on ‘plants’. Then click on ‘trees’. Read definition of tree.
- On the same frame, click on ‘tree words’. Get them to identify parts of a tree.
- Finally, click on ‘Flower words’. Get them to identify the parts of a flower.
- Follow-up
: Pupils to identify the parts of a tree and a flower on the worksheet.
