OUR LORD
Jesus was born in a little town in Bethlehem. His birth, life, death and resurrection were foretold throughout the Bible. There are over 300 prophecies about Jesus ranging over a period of 1700 years. He fulfilled everyone of them. For you math-ematically minded people, figure out the odds of probability of that!
He is the Son of the Living God, born in Bethlehem of the virgin Mary. He performed signs, wonders and miracles throughout His ministry. He was crucified, laid in a tomb, and arose the third day. He showed himself arisen to hundreds of witnesses. He now sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for man. He will come again at the end of the age and take those who believe in Him to be with him in Glory. I believe we are living in those end times now.

Jesus, the Son of God, came to live among us to experience all of our trials, sufferings and temptations yet He remained without sin. He gave his life on the cross as a living sacrifice for us to atone for our sin so that we may come into the presence of the Lord
What, you say? Many have died for their faith throughout the ages. Many have put
their lives on the line for another. Thousands died on crosses. What makes Jesus so
different? My friends, it is not just that He died on a cross, although the Bibles says
"cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree" Deuteronomy 21:23, Galatians 3:13
(NKJ)
Jesus BECAME sin. 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For He made Him who knew
no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."
(NKJ) He took on every sickness and disease, every perversion and deformity of
body mind and spirit that was ever or could ever be. He, for the first time, was
separated from the Father, for God cannot look upon sin. God had to turn His back
on His Son as he hung on that cross. How many of you parents out there would not
give the world to your children? How many would give their very lives for their
children, that they would not suffer or die? I would for mine. But the Father, who
could have waved His baby finger and destroyed those who were destroying His
Son. He who commands all the angels in Heaven. Who even the rocks cry out to.
He loved you so much that He allowed His Son to die for your sin. A blameless,
spotless sacrifice without blemish, became all the ugly things of this world. Carried
your burdens, your evil, your sickness and disease, your sins to the cross and died
for you. At the moment that Jesus cried out "My God, My God, why hast thou
forsaken me", that is the moment in time, I believe, that God had to turn His back
so he would not see the ugliness His Son had become. Jesus could not have been
the beatific person depicted by our artists. He would have been horribly disfigured
to the Father`s eyes.
But His love for you. His longing to redeem your life, kept Him there, for without that sacrifice none of us would be saved. Without that sacrifice we would be forever separated from God. What love. What mercy. What Grace has been shown to us that all we need do is believe in Him to receive everlasting life. That is my Lord. This is the God I serve. I invite you to serve Him too. He waits for you with open arms to freely come to Him. I guarantee He will change your life.
